This part from what component?
Its winter, snow on the ground, no riding, what to do? One answer: come up with silly games like this!
Took apart one of my treasures, and isolated this part. From what component does it originate?
It is solid bronze and belongs to a relatively esoteric piece of equipment, but one that nevertheless has a following among a certain branch of cyclists. Cone wrench for scale.

@ the op'er -
it's boring here as well. its been totally dark for about 30 minutes now @ 15:00

The roads have been so wet there isnt anyway im getting on one of my bikes and going out in it

it's been raining off and on for weeks !also a few snow falls that created huge walls on the sides of the roads

im sitting here looking at 4 of my bikes , wishing i was out cycling on the road .
Not being on the trainer looking out the livingroom window into total darkness

BUt on the other hand im leaving early in the morning for the USA , and that is positive
now for the part you īhave .
it's been said . but i say also a cantilever brake part . if it isnt then i agree with Wino Ryder

Unworthy1 nailed it, again. Soon he'll be exempt from any quiz I might come up with.
A lawnmower or generator would be less tricky to put back together than this super articulated mess of linkages. In the last phases of disassembling I remembered to take a few crucial pics, or else my post here would have been a plea for help. First time in a while I had to use 7mm and 9mm wrenches.
This non titanium version has a pleasing industrial grade to it, with no silly chrome and just a little alloy. It is all utility stamped, zinc plated steel and off-the-shelf bolts. The exception is the cool bronze link.

hmph. I have a later Sachs Huret. It has no such cool linkage. That piece has been replaced with what looks to be a cast steel or aluminum thingie on the newer version.
