Friction to index shifting, Help

I have a very Noob question. I just got an '88 Schwinn Prologue with Campy 7 speed and down tube friction shifters. The shift levers are not Campy and if I wanted to go all Campy could I put the shifters on in the picture from ebay and have indexed shifting in the rear or do I need to do a lot of other mods to make that happen?

I don't have to have indexed I just saw the levers and wanted to find out the possibilities.

14 speed shifters? they must mean double front 7speed rear? to answer, no, it won't make it index shifting just by changing the shifters, but you could always just run those shifters in friction mode

You'd need the shifters and the rear derailleur, and some cassettes aren't made for indexing, either.

Those shifters didn't work very well in index mode when they were new, with matching components. They should work fine in friction mode though.

Moving a 7 speed friction drive train to indexed, can be a fun challenging adventure. I know from my own experience with my 7 speed '83 Paramount. In my case I wanted to use brifters. Here's a link you to my thread; https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/480170-bambozeled-brifters.html The title is; "Bambozeled by Brifters."
