Would this be a good trade?
I have an '84 Peugeot PGN10, or at least thats what a couple of members told me. Anyhow, the frame is in O.K. condition, with no real rust, but some cracking of the decals, chips, and what not. This guy wants to trade me just the frame and fork off his Peugeot. He said is 25" from bb to top of the seat tube, which would fit me muct better, as min is and a 55cm. But, is this guys frame worth more or less then mine? What exactly is it, etc? Would all of my components transfer over to this frame set with no problems?

I ride a pgn10 every day, love it so your frames good for a swap. The photo of the other bike is quite small so I can't tell too much but It looks ok. It might be best to ask for an original high quality photo and post it here along with any stickers identifing the frame material.
Also if your just swapping frame and fork It might be easyer to swap frame, fork, head set and bb. Good luck.

+1 for prettyshady's comments. While you're at it, ask him for the serial number from the dropout and all info from the label on the bottom bracket or chainstay, if the label is still present.
Gut reaction is that it's circa 1978-1981 and entry level, based on the relatively large gap between the rear tire and seat tube, with the axle at it's apparent location in the dropout.

Yeah I remember him saying he thought it was a Corsa or something along those lines. Yeah I basically told him I didnt think his frame was worth as much as mine so I figure I will just keep my PGN10, fix it up a little, and try to make some money and get a nice commuter for myself
. Speaking my my PGN10, where can I find new parts that are either original or close to stock? I need a new seat, rear wheel, and bar tape and stuff. I will obviously get the tape at the lbs but what about a seat and stuff? the rear wheel thats tacod is a Rigida. I have a set of Arayas that seem to be in shape. Should I just get some new tires and slap those puppys on there?
