I was 14 in 1975. Our Stingrays were just about destroyed from inventing BMX. And one rich prick with a guilty mommy shows up with one of these:

but you never forgot how much you wanted one of these, and now that you're an adult, and you're making money in the porn industry (in distribution, of course,) you've got some extra cash laying around to buy this bike and put it in the lobby where all your other nostalgic buddies can see it.

wheels are new, seat is old, but not correct, bars are old box style, some fake grab-on grips, and old cheng shin tires for skidding.

Looks like it was a road bike (lower end at that) with track dropouts brazed on by an amateur (I know, that's what they look like when I do them). So, still a conversion - road geometry and axle spacing, and no advantages (other than the ability to use chain tensioners, but the dropout will bust off the first time you jump on it). I'm all for messing around with bikes, but this is just messed up

That one has actually been discussed here before, several months back. Not sure if it was in this thread or not, but I recall this very bike/drewjob. Seller had done several similar hack jobs. Note eyelets for fenders on track fork. For the rainy days at the velodrome.

[HR][/HR]One of a kind. This came stock witha disc-brake back in the day. Tires are less than 30miles old. It also has a sweet bottom bracket and cranks - a one piece bb that houses a square taper spindle for 3 pc cranks.
