Classic TRIUMPH 3-speed Bicycle - $20 (Longfellow/South Minneapolis)

Yup, you read right: Here's a classic English-built TRIUMPH three-speed bicycle, as shown in the photos. No, it's not complete and yes, it needs a rear wheel and some cleaning up. These bicycles in good shape sell for $150 to $200 and more. This is a fine parts bike or the starting point for a restoration.

The frame's straight. The paint's nicely and evenly oxidized.

First $20 gets it.

Almost anything is worth $20. That's a good deal just for front wheel and fenders.

Weird one liner description on a $3,000 Sherrell Streamliner. And then they used a stock photo from 2008.

^ Yeah. Fixable by stripping the parts and throwing the frame in the skip...

maybe it's a lens effect or something, but the seatstays also appear to be very slightly bowed.

Don't fret about that cracked stem, it doesn't affect anything. Until it dumps you face first into a root.,,,,BD

It's English...sure. But it's okay, it's been owned by a former bike mechanic.

Owned by a former bike mechanic- meaning he no longer works on bikes (or keeps them out of the rain in winter).

Creepy old guy sells bike on eBay, surrounded by children:

BMX Bike | eBay

Sure, it COULD just all be innocent fun, but the masked face, the Velcro tennis shoes with black socks, the garage-turned-playroom, it all smacks of a "free candy" van, or worse...

► IVERSON ROAD BIKE | 53CM | MADE IN JAPAN | 10-SPEED | HIGH-END -----

High end, those words don't mean what you think they do.

High performance and ready to ride 53cm IVERSON 10-speed ROAD BIKE for a very reasonable price. Rides and handes nicely with problems mechanically. Great for leisure or everyday use to achieving your fitness goals. Equipped with quality components including tires, seat, quick release wheels, suntour crankset, champion handlebar , derailleurs and more. At least he admits it has "problems mechanically", like a seriously bent fork. Not that he mentions the fork.

Gorgeous. Maybe worth $6K, I don't really know. But if it's a "Randonneur", why are there no braze-ons for a rear rack? Also, who's Mitch? ("Check out Mitch's web site and do the math.")
