^^^^ Another example of posting un-previewed image. Really, if you're asking three digits for something you're selling, is it too much work to get a photo that doesn't focus on the background and leave the subject a blurry eyesore?
(Oh no, now I've got the melody of the Nutcracker theme playing in my head !......)

I rarely get a good photo if I try to take it from one foot away or so.

New Bike For Sale - $300 (Springfield/Eugene)
Walmart: Genesis 29" Mens, Incline Bicycle, Black/Yellow $149.00
Ok, so 2 photos of the helmet and lock. 2 photos of the model number on the instruction book, and 3 photos of the bike from imperceptibly different angles.
And, the whole thing is being sold for double retail. Albeit, it does include a cheap Kryptonite lock ($30), cheap cable ($10), and cheap helmet ($20). So, maybe $60 in accessories. And, we're still $90 short.

26" Schwinn Corvette Cruiser - $500 (GREENWOOD)
https://indianapolis.craigslist.org/...766412189.html
"If you are a Corvette owner or Corvette lover then this is a must have for you. Very Very Rare Schwinn Corvette Bicycle. 26" and ready to go but you must pick it up I will not ship. Also NO TEXTING PLEASE they will not be answered. I have only seen about 5 or 6 of this rare Bike in my life time. This will be the Bike to display with your Corvette or ride to get rid of a few of the unwanted pounds. Again I will not ship so you will have to come pick it up in Greenwood, In just on the south side of Indianapolis In. This bike has been ridden and has a couple of scuff marks on it but it is still in great condition. NO TEXTING PLEASE they will not be answered. I would say that 99.5 percent of you have never seen a Schwinn Corvette Bicycle like this one. I know there are other Schwinn Bikes out there that were made back in the mid 50's but nothing like this cruiser."

A Rock Is A Rock Is A Rock?
Specialized Rockhopper - $100
"bicycle type: mountain
brake type: cantilever
condition: good
electric assist: none
frame size: 21"/54cm ctc
handlebar type: flat
make / manufacturer: Specialized
model name / number: Rockhopper
suspension: none (rigid)
wheel size: 26 in
90s? Sweet steel is real Specialized Rockhopper mountain bike. I bought it to be my city cruiser/bruiser, though it was pouring rain that evening when I went to buy it and I didn't really check out the fit. Hence, this machine is too small for me. It is a 21"/54cm ctc frame. Doesn't seem like it had very much use. There are city slicks on it, 2" wide, and they have gobs of tread and no drywall rot. The saddle is a Cannondale branded mountain one, and it is on the more plush comfortable size/not an instrument of torture. 26" wheels, bottle cage, kickstand, fenders, stay with it. 7 speed freewheel, triple ring crankset, and you can conquer all of Hollywood cemeteries hills and byways. Shimano groupset functions as it should. Flat bars, thumb shifters work properly. Canti brakes are stoppers. Let me know if you want to take a spin.
I'd say the size would fit someone 5'8" to about 6".
Roughly a 32" standover height.
Located indoors, this bicycle is presently in the museum district. I'd be glad to meet you where you'd like to ride it...I work in the Innsbrook area and can shuttle the bicycle out that was as well. This steel is real machine basically will never wear out. Aluminum is for beer cans.
You can comfortably ride anywhere in Richmond on this steed. Take it out on the Capital Trail, or on the Greenway.
Apply this bicycle to you life to induce envious vomiting in your jealous neighbor"

Here's a way to make a marginally memorable listing for an overpriced rather ho-hum bike:
https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...767811330.html
"This Is Spinal Tap"* Trek 730.
This bike is better than the Trek 720 because it's 10 more. You see? It goes past seven twenty and up to seven Thirty!
And it's a lot better than the Trek 700 because it's 30 more. Get it? It goes way up to seven THIRTY!
Now that we have that straightened out, "Let me tell something to you"** about this fine machine.
It's in fantastic condition, 'like-new' even. Well cared for and used less than Very Little. Used...Stuart Little.
Everything works properly and it's clean. There's no muck, no yuck, no grime, nor rust. It's so clean you could eat off this bike, you know, if you ride to Wagner's, Tonka, Galaxy, or Sonic Drive-In.
Sheldon won't need his bus pants for this ride.
You may choose to park it in the living room instead of the garage. ( Who's the boss here anyway?)
Because of it's cro-moly steel main frame and fork, it's lightweight, lean, nimble, cat-quick, yet strong-like-bull.
Many cyclists prefer 'the feel of steel'. Ever see an aluminum spring?
Compare to Surly, Salsa, All-City and a host of others except One Thousand Dollars le$$. Yes, $1,000.00 less...or more. Thh! Go figure.
You may have been born at night but it wasn't last night.
It pains me to sell it but I should cuz I can't be a museum. Besides, I bought a Trek 750 ( last pic) and that's even better because...wait for it.....
it's 20 More! It goes way up to seven FIFTY! - But enough with the math already. Come see for yourself.
Need I say more? But I will...
This bicycle was not mass produce in The Peoples Republic of Communist China, nor was it imported from Taiwan, Japan, or fair trade...wherever!
This fine machine was handcrafted in Wisconsin, USA.
- Take pride in that...as you watch your in-laws use a hair dryer and putty knife to remove the Made In China sticker from their bikes.
- Take pride in that...when you ride with friends and your bike is the only one that isn't an import; your bike is the only one eligible
to become Bike President.
- Take pride in that...as you sing along with The Boss as you pedal, "Born...in the USA, I was...Born....".
- Take pride in that...when you switch from Harley to Trek.
- Take pride in that...when you stand to sing The Star Spangled Banner at the ball game.
- Take pride in that...when you pedal to heaven and receive special parking privileges. Made in God's country, you know.

Low seat.
Riser Bars (although one could raise the seat and flip the stem for a good aero config).
If it was Zipp or HED, then the price would be low.
Those appear to be some 3rd party add-on discs that really won't raise the value above simple spoked wheels.

^^^^ Front wheel is on backwards, and appears to have no valve access. Threadless conversion is, er, less than optimally executed.
Owner/operator should be concerned about putting passing motorists into a trance while wheels are in motion, esp. in FL.

I've purchased a few items out of town. It is always a little touch and go whether the sale actually goes through.
Ask a seller to hold an item for a week, without cash in hand, and they rarely hold it. Some accept PayPal, in which case, they'll hold it for a reasonable amount of time. But, I've had a couple of sellers that disappear when I try to collect the items.
Some, as soon as one mentions that one is 50 or 100 miles away, they never respond again.
One, has shipped a bike to me, and was pleased to hear about BikeFlights.
Two sales have now been facilitated by BikeForums members (plus PayPal to the facilitator and cash to the seller).
One of those, I negotiated most of the deal through E-Mail. The other one, the seller never responded to me by E-Mail, and only talked via E-Mail to my facilitator.

Chances are that the next time I'm local to this bike, I will be opening up dummy email and face book accounts, just for the honor of giving some one $$ for a 25 year mountain bike. He ain't getting full freight though...

Believe it or not that thing is stupidly valuable and collectible. There was a short period of BMX back in 80's where down hill mountain racing was considered the next greatest thing!
