Mint Centurion Dave Scott Iron Man - $275 (Ridgefield, Wa)
If this were my size there would be nothing but a vapor trail behind me as I went to get it. Have been in communication with the seller, he states 23.5" from center of crank to top of seat tube, 33" standover. He is 6'1" and it fit him well. Pristine condition. A little too far for me to facilitate.

Just bringing' this one back from a few pages ago here to say

2) Totally '80s and especially-advertised (in their catalog) custom graphics!
Granted, not the best look in the classical sense, but I would think springing for the airbrush job would be pretty rare, let alone on a 400-level model. But hey, it's out there, and at $140, totally. Very cool. The nutty paint jobs of that era must continue to be preserved!

I didn't, but to my knowledge (via reading and looking at the pictures in the catalogs) Cannondale started out with steel forks on all their bikes and kept with them on their lower end road/crit bikes and all touring once 1989 came to pass. Their geometry was within industry norms, with only the 1987+ 63cm and 66cm road/crit frames getting a 74.75° HT angle (which I have and really like). I wouldn't want to find a replacement AL fork, that's for sure!
All that to say, their steel forks were produced by Tange (well, my '87 Black Lightning certainly was) and were of a semi-sloping crown variety. Which, I suppose it to say, any in-decent-shape 1" threaded steel fork with a matching steerer length and matching axle-to-crown length (I'd check axle-to-brake-mount distance, too) should suffice. What happened to the original?

Bikes are okay, I guess.

Aluminum?!? Those Reynolds stickers fool another one. And you'd think he might clean it up if asking that much for the bike. My size, though.
1972 SCHWINN PARAMOUNT P13 ALUMINUM BICYCLE
1972 SCHWINN PARAMOUNT P13 ALUMINUM BICYCLE - $800 (FOREST LAKES)
condition: fair
make / manufacturer: SCHWINN
model name / number: PARAMOUNT
serial number: H72295
Vintage 1972 Schwinn Paramount P13 Aluminum Bicycle.
This bike saw a LOT of use but still has life left in it. Classic bicycle and top of the line in it's day. Will need a service and some components replaced.
NON original parts: Suntour shifters, Tange Falcon headset, tires. One decal a later replacement but mostly worn off anyway. Not sure if wheels are original or not.
ORIGINAL parts: are Campagnolo for derailleurs & hubs (Nuovo Record), brakes, crankset, seat post...Cinelli handlebars.
There is a Brooks saddle.
Some components will need to be replaced due to wear. Chain rings, crank arms...? There is a small ding in seat tube.
I am guessing a mid to large size bike. I have a TON of pictures (more than Craigslist allows) that I can send to you.
Serial no. H72295. Lots of grease and oil but not much rust at all. Despite condition I believe still worth my asking price - compare.
I was going to attempt to get this restored but have just never gotten around to it.

$800 isn't a ridiculous price for a chrome Paramount, even an unmaintained one. The condition may give you some leverage to negotiate better deal.

But hey, be happy they don't take better pics. If they did, someone other than a BF'er might actually be interested

Yeah, I know. It does seem to be in fine condition. Last thing I need is another bike but if it was my size I'd be on the way right now.

I loooove bad descriptions and bad photos, here's one I responded to that just had the title "bike for parts-$300"
Turned out to need a 27.2 post instead of a 26.8 and the headset adjusted:

Looks to be a '88 312.
Oh, I had to go to the Tampa Craigslist for more info and see that in the description it is in fact a 312. https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/bik/5719607907.html

Man I wish Portland OR's CL road bike situation was more like some of the scores I see in these pages. Finding just a decent deal on a road bike here is almost impossible, much less the fantastic buys that get posted in this thread. Of my own two road bikes for instance, one I bought from a co-worker so it never made it to CL, and the other I built up from a bare frame I got from a fellow BFer. Lots of good deals on older mtbs, but road bikes - fuggetabout it.
