Vintage De Bernardi Road Bike *rare* - $275 (Fredericksburg)

image 1 of 10
For sale is a late 80s De Bernardi road bike. All original except for the bar wrap and tires. Excellent shape with a few chips to the paint on the frame. Columbus made frame. Campagnolo Athena brakes, crank, and derailleur set. Clement Strada LGG tires (presta valves). De Bernardi is very similar to De Rosa. Might as well be the same.

$125 for Gitane tandem that has been listed for a while. Bike looks complete and probably cleans up to a very nice tandem. Little chance of me talking my wife into trying out a tandem once again.

Someone might look at a weekend stay on the coast in Galveston coming home with this attached to the back bumper.

Ive seen a frame identical to this one, from the paint to the pin stripping, however it had cantilever brakes and stem shifters. Was I looking at a semi pro also?

I want this frame, my size, but what has been done to this bike is sad.

Get it. What's been done to this one can be undone. What cannot be undone is stuff like a local guy wanting a pump peg in a certain position on his Serotta Ti so he drilled a hole completely through a frame tube and epoxied a brass wood screw in place.

There is something very relaxing about a step-through frame.

More for leisurely riding around the lake, but these have a nice aesthetic. This must be Dutch bike styled by Columbia.

Miyata Mixte, I haven't seen many of those, hanging upside down. Only $100; maybe retro-right for someone.

LesterOfPuppets:

Thanks for the note.

That Ross up there does look nice. I've got a Vitus tubing bike, maybe it's a better fit but I prefer my high-ten; maybe it's because I'm not trying to break any PRs out and about.

I was looking at this for awhile, I don't really need another bike, but I guess this is the really nice racing version of the 1981 Miyatas. The bike itself is not in the best condition, but potentially a good deal! (I think)

Nashbar SE Road Touring Bike 58cm - $300 (Bedford NH)

This is a Nashbar Road Touring Bike with a 23" Double Butted CroMo frame and a 33" stand over. It's 15 speed (triple in front) with tour gearing, alloy quick release wheels, New Road tires with Kevlar band, touring saddle, water bottle holder, center pull tour brakes, New cork bar wrap and Blackburn rear rack that will accept side bags. In excellent condition and ready to ride. Design/style based on the Trek 520 Tour bike, a great tour ride at a very low price.

74 Colin Laing 10 speed - $600 (Hopkinton)

74 Colin Laing custom bicycle, 22", tight rear triangle.
Reynolds 531 throughout.
Built by renouned frame builder Colin Laing in England before his move to Arizona.
Mostly Campagnolo Record components incl crankset and chainrings, brakes, shifters, headset, seat post.
Campy super record pedals.
A set of my old training wheels are on the bike. Campy skewers (I believe). 10 speed setup.
TTT titanium bottom bracket axle

I built the bike in 1974 for mainly criterium races. Fork is angled more like a road bike, allowing use for longer roadraces and training. Tubular tires. I had other bikes for riding around town and training in the rain. Brakes are set up for a crit, so rear cluster can be shifted right hand and rear brake squeezed left hand. Rear brake under stays because....cool and lower moment when turning. Saved me 0.00000002 miliseconds in a 10 mile race!

Bike is ridable. Never crashed.

Feel free to ask for specific measurements or pictures or to come evaluate it. It has spent most of its life hanging in my basement.

Asking $600.

Those shorter chainstays for racing bikes, nifty.
