If I lived in Florida, it would be mine. I might be taking a 4 hour round trip tomorrow morning for a mint Ironman in my size. The seller told me someones looking at it tonite, so more than likely it will be gone by tomorrow. But he's only asking $150, so if its still available tomorrow its mine.

This Somec in Denver has a lot of potential; the ask is $700 but it has been up for three weeks, there is probably some wiggle room in the price

Wait, what??

I thought the entire inventory of most Salvation Army stores was around $800!

I thought the same. Got a feeling the color is the best thing about this one, though. Whoever the seller is, he's got a handful of unique bikes for sale right now.

Nice one for making a Klunker 'mountain bike'. Lace up a vintage Atom drum brake for the rear and Sturmey front. Moto X bars + big brake levers and its bombs away.

The thing I like best about this bike is the fact the seller isn't looking to fund his retirement with this sale. Seems like Houston CL has had a rash of low end steel bikes for $250+ lately.

Though this one would bring $250. I think I sold mine for $220 2-3 years ago. The actual low end bikes for $250 is another story. Most sellers seem to think if it's a steel frame and old, that their bike is automatically worth $200-$400. And that Schwinn guy lately. Asking $250 and more for Varsity's and Continentals. Talking about how rare they are, lol!,,,,BD

I thoughts so too, but last Christmas I stopped in and they had a Celeste colored Bianchi and a Motobecane Gran Jubilee the prices were out of my range but then again I wasn't (and still am not) that educated on c&v bikes. But i think the prices were pretty reasonable IIRC.
One of the guys working there said they get quite a few of these race bikes in there.

Plug for an upcoming shop auction Nov. 4 in Philly. It was posted on the CR list as well. Looks to be a fun one for the vintage enthusiast. Lots of terrifc stuff.

In the link, scroll down to see the bike shop auction. Then follow to the images.

Tweed all the way. Fully dressed, shining chrome, lots of spokes in that rear wheel. Whats not to like?

edit-

Get that handsome bike and take it to the ride just north.

(Just received a late notice of the event.)

Wish to have known known earlier of it, sounds fun but unable to make it.
I would've planned to ride this - lol.

That Bike says "Royal Crown", I had previously never heard of it, now, I've seen 2 in the last 24 hours; and this other one has rod brakes even. Nice big bell, they may say 5 speed, I think they meant 3 speed. A nice big bell. Weathered some which is not obvious from a distance, pretty nice, nice color.

Vintage Royal Crown 5 Speed English Bike

Not perfect, but a cool old bike, somewhat rare. Most likely needs some adjustments. Has a generator light, tail rack, tool bag with a couple wrenches, baskets, bell, etc. Located in Duluth right off of I-35. $120.00 cash only.

Beats me of them. Adverts describe made in England, but wouldn't rule out some made in India. The handsome one also has a neato center stand. I can't 'stand' a kickstand but in this case, its cool.
