That's normal. Occasionally the reported last page and the real last page match up, but the reported last page on very long threads is usually 1 ahead of the real last page.

I’d buy this without a second thought if local and had no dents (hard to tell by wording). Then hotrod it with all modern black componentry...

Get a good lock, bike thieves would be all over this one, and rightly so. I love that handlebar tape, anyone know what kind it is?

+1 - it's just tough to sell stuff off in CL for over $400ish. CIIs are fantastic frames.

Agreed.

I ride my CSI constantly and would consider this one if it were here in the Twin Cities.

I love this color scheme and agree with Cole as well.

Wonder if this one could handle 28s?

So is it just me, don't understand how any seller thinks it's going to work out when say, "seat, pedal's, wheels", etc. not included in the sale, it's bait and switch plain and simple to me. Most of these kind of ad's seem over priced to me to begin with. Even if everything was included, it put's me off anyway even when the price might be ok without all the pieces.

If you have a minute.

Thanks.

I won't go after this one, as I have another project in the works.

However, the day may come when one pops locally.

Then Cole, Bob, Pete and I will have to arm wrestle........

Do You Jeunet?

Jeunet Vintage Men's Racer - $100 (Pittsboro)

"Here we have a Jeunet Vintage Men's Racer for sale . Very rare . Nice Collector Piece . Has a 23"/58.42 cm frame and 10 speeds . 27" tires . Needs a little cleaning . Very hard to find in this shape . Also in Raleigh m-f ."

https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/d...355653097.html

(Here we have this pretentious dweeb feigning auctioneer speak. It is unfortunate this individual doesn't spend a little more time on the photos, and less on the prattle, but it is an interesting example, that we have here, and not terribly unreasonably priced for what it is. Kickstand, that we have here, is a pity though.
Then again, maybe "What we have here is "Failure to Communicate"?)

I’m mostly set on keepers. A few things I’d buy if they presented themselves. An early Masi is the only grail bike I really want at this stage. I’ve stopped watching CL and buying/selling because of the market.

Part of me wants to build an Open Up but then the sensible part tells me I’d need to paint as I hate the colors offered and I don’t particularly care for gravel enough to make it all worthwhile. It is really the only new bike that interests me though.

We just rode 104 miles the last two days near Trempeleaux, Wisconsin.

On the Great River Trail and then into the Trempeleaux Wildlife Refuge.

All granite gravel trails and singletrack.

I rode my Monstercross, but this Open Up would be super fun.

For the taller cyclist ...

Rodriguez Touring Bicycle 61cm vintage 1984 w/ $800 restoration - $500 (Seattle Ballard)

I paid $1,000 new for this beautiful Rodriguez and have $800 in brand new components, so at the price of $500, I'm primarily hoping to find a really good home for this great touring and commuting bicycle. The bike rides beautifully. I have had all repairs and restoration work done at R and E Cycles in Seattle. Contact me if you are serious about the bike and the price and have any questions.

Some of the new components include:
Brand new, never been ridden chain rings, 52-40-24
Brand new rear sprockets 14-34
Brand new Shimano Deore LX rear derailleur
Brand new headset, handlebars, cables and housings
Brand new gray paint with navy lettering

Worn parts of bicycle:
Vintage 18 speed bar end friction shifters (they work fine)
27" 48 spoke wheels
Pedals with some minor rust (shown in photo)
Rear rack, water bottle cages and fenders slightly beat up (shown in photo)
Front derailleur slightly worn (shown in photo)

This bicycle should fit if you are in the range of 5'11"- 6'2".

Very nice bike, and a nice deal. But the owner has been riding a bike that's too big for him since 1971? That's a long time.

On first reading, I missed that he was the original owner. I was amused, thinking that his college days could have been last year or 50 years ago.

This pops up here locally from time to time, may have been posted here before. No price unless you call. There's no bike on the planet I wouldn't at least take out for a spin if it were my size

I called him back in March just to get details. Interesting gentleman, interesting conversation on this and his other bikes. Somehow I never got around to getting the price on it, but I wasn't really interested in buying - the gold plating on the forks don't seem to hold up well in use and it would likely better suited as a wall-hanger. I won't have a bike and not ride it.
