59cm 1972 Cinelli Super Corsa in fair condition. I was in the area, so went to take a look. Way too big for me. Quite a bit of surface rust in the chrome, a little rust on the top tube. No decals on dowbn tube. Barcon cables have rubbed off some on the headbadge. Some rust on the Phil hubs. TA triple. Should be good for someone looking for a rider or full restoration. I think the seller expects $800 to $1000.

1964 Schwinn Paramount -- Is it worth anything? - $1 (NE Portland)

A 1964 Schwinn paramount was handed down to me and I was just wondering if anyone knew how much these go for...

It has a few scratches, but it is in more than good shape. Has had only one owner... All Campy brakes and derailleurs. Phil Wood sealed hubs. Sew ups. I have a couple of the orginal tools that it came with, and I might be able to find the rest.

Serial number is T46.

thanks! Any feedback would be great!

36" wheel Wheelman brand Penny Farthing just popped up on the local CL. Says it had under a $400 MSRP and doesn't give an asking price. I've seen very few of these show up for sale, don't know if they have their own forum someplace or not.

Someday I'd like to get one, but a better built one which I can't afford. I'll stop typing now and ost the link. 8-)

This is being sold by one of our fellow forum members. I've ridden it, and it's a fine, fast bicycle.

1986 Torpado Superlight, 59cm, Columbus SLX tubing - $375 (Logan Square)
Date: 2009-11-11, 4:38PM CST
Reply to: sale-yjezf-1461819134@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Up for sale is a 1986 Torpado Superlight racing cycle. The frame is full Columbus SLX tubing with a Cinelli bottom bracket shell and Campagnolo dropouts. Seat tube measures 59cm (c-to-c) and the top tube measures 58cm (c-to-c). This is a phenomenal handling bike that lays power to the ground so smoothly and deliberately it is shocking. Cosmetically it could use some touching up and there is a small ding in the seatstay above the brake bridge, but nothing serious. Chrome chainstay and forks are in good condition. There is internal cable routing for the rear brake and rear derailleur. Headset, bottom bracket and wheel bearings have all been recently serviced.

NOTE: Sale price does not include the Brooks Pro saddle in picture, though I do recommend them. I have a saddle that I can throw in if you need something to get you by.

If you would prefer the bike without the wheelset or cranks, for example, we can work out a lower price.

Components:
Bars/stem: 3TTT Grand Prix handlebars (40cm c-to-c), 3TTT pantographed record stem (90mm c-to-c)
Brake levers: Dia Compe Gran Compe Aero
Brake calipers: Modolo Flash
Seatpost: SR fluted
Seatpost binder bolt: Campagnolo
Headset: Ofmega
Crankset: Gipiemme Sprint with Campagnolo 47t ring and Ofmega 42t ring
Bottom bracket: Shimano
Front and rear derailleurs: Ofmega Premier
Shift levers: Suntour
Wheels: Wolber Super Champion Alpine clincher rims laced to Shimano 105 hubs
Tires: German made Continental 700x21
Pedals: SR SP II Eleven platforms with Christophe Special clips

The bike is truly a pleasure to ride, one of the finest frames I've ever owned, though a shade on the tall side for me. Also included are a set of brand new Columbus SLX decals for the seat tube and fork blades. The frame's got her share of scrapes and imperfections which is why I used this bike as a rider instead of a wall-hanger.

Many more pictures can be seen here (including some "before" pics):

I wonder how the seller will handle the barrage of e mails that will land on him.

Bridgestone RB-1 Racing Bike - $200

I was recently given this bike by a homeowner who just wanted it out of their garage. After looking up the history and specs on this bike I was very surprised at how much they are still being sold for. I really know nothing about bikes and how to determine its condition but if you're interested in seeing it please email me and let me know. I know this bike can go for a lot more than I'm asking so it should be an amazing deal for anyone! Thanks for your interest.

Reply to: sale-e4zwb-1461468778@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is a Schwinn Suburban bike directly out of an estate where it was purchased new in 1976. According to the serial #, it was produced in December of 1975. In the last couple of years, the former owner had new tires put on and paid for a tune up. They are in perfect shape. Really one of the best you will find! Could be cleaned up more to be perfect!
Measures: 22" (tube height) from center of pedals to base of seat.
