Very rare classic 80's Ampello Team Corsa road bike handcrafted in Italy for the Italian racing team, I believe for the 1988-89 team.I absolutely love this bike but it has extremely aggressive Tour de France/racing geometry and my body can't take the aggressive position it places the rider in any more as I'm growing older.
I want to trade this rare classic for a good quality Tenor or Alto saxophone or a good touring road bike between 57-60cm.
Having stated that fact I will mention that this bike was not made for the general public and has some very unique custom features, including brazed on number tag holder for the individual racer's number, Campagnolo group, Campagnolo dropouts on front and rear, Columbus TSX Superbutted ultralight rifled tubing and of course the machine corners like it's a rocket on rails.

This is more of an alert for those in Chicago who might be thinking about checking out this Miyata 610 - the rear rack mounting tabs are badly rusted and mashed into the seat stays, and the ds stay is a bit mangled. Seller says he got it from an alley picker who piled stuff on it. Could be, or could be crash damage. Anyway, just a heads up. Too bad; otherwise I would have bought it.

I like the paint job on this one! Not that I have the space or money to buy another bike, but is the price tag of $300 correct, given the model and condition? It's a little hard to tell in the SF Bay area - everything is overpriced on craigslist.

The Miyata 1000 in SF caught my eye too, but looking at the hodge-podge of non-original parts installed made me wary. Plus the seller thinks the Sante front derailleur is a Suntour, so either he assembled the bike and is clueless or is a later owner and is clueless. It's been listed for a few months too, which is another bad sign.
Let us know if you see any more though! I just bought a nice Miyata two-ten and even this entry-level touring is real nice.

Full set (pair of rear, pair of front, handlebar bag) of Cannondale panniers for $50 in the MOKAN area. There were two sets for sale; I snagged the first, and it's in excellent+ condition. (I'm guessing the other is in like condition.) Pretty damn cheap for a decent set of bike luggage.
