"THE" Raleigh is finished!
Well, I got THE Raleigh together and ready to go. The paint turned out pretty well for a shaker-can job, and I'm really happy with how smooth the BB and drivetrain operate. Considering it is a mix-and-match of old and new stuff, I am pleased with the result. What do y'all think?
Before - as a pile o' parts:

And after - a finished ride:

Nice job!
I wouldn't have known it was a rattle can job, if you didn't say so.

An added bonus is that the triple crank - which I didn't realize was a triple until I broke it out of the shipping bag - centerlines well enough that all three rings could be utilized if a long cage RD is installed. A cheap and easy upgrade for my brother should he decide he wants to do it.

Yeah, the fork rake does look odd in the photo. I think you're actually seeing just a bit of the back of the far side fork being "added" to the nearside fork at this angle. It rides straight and true, though.
And, yes, the new owner is already contemplating upgrades (crank, downtube shifters, microadjust seat, etc).

I love it! I've done a couple of paint jobs myself and found them to hold up as well as the professional ones that I was unhappy with! You might look at www.hlloydcycles.com to get some authentic Raliegh decals to finish it up!
