Lame things about C&V

Ah, yes. So far, thankfully, I have not been suspected of riding a vintage bicycle only because I lost my license to drive for DUI and have no money. But I have met at least one middle-aged cyclist in my area who fit that description, and he also works for the same automaker in town as I do.

I get a bit tired of people complaining about how expensive used bikes are these days and then, sometimes in the same post, bragging about selling a Varsity for $186.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.

My biggest C&V complaint is spending a lot of time looking for some obscure part, finally finding it and paying a premium for it, only to stumble across more a few days later for a pittance. I guess the search is what makes it all fun though.

Bikes: IRO Mark V, Karate Monkey half fat, Trek 620 IGH, Cannondale 26/24 MTB, Amp Research B3, and more.
And then when I crow about it here, 6 of you tell me you found a box of them perserved in cosmoline in the back of the ice cream shop around the corner. And that you have been using them for ballast in your bass boats. Geez.

Actually, what tortures me is that I look for years for some stupid little thing. I drool over them on Ebay as they sell for large money. I finally sell a child to get one.
And then when I crow about it here, 6 of you tell me you found a box of them perserved in cosmoline in the back of the ice cream shop around the corner. And that you have been using them for ballast in your bass boats. Geez.

Oh, but wait... nothing vintage about that... and no bicycle... hmmm...
Well, how about this, for all you anglophiles. It's not only the musical precursor to the Python, but they brought a bicycle on stage with them! Can anyone identify the make and model?

Naw - just requires some sort of membership to the forum. Used to be, $25 got you membership for life. Now, some corporate entity is running the show and the membership fee structure is different.
