This is a bunch of crap - I put out at least 550 Watts - I have to, otherwise I can't see what I'm doing, even WITH my bifocals.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.

Ahh! I get it.

Tip: While viewing any webpage, Hold the CTRL key on your keyboard and roll the mouse wheel up. The font size will increase. Roll down to decrease the font size.

Its great for crappy eyes

400 watts? Not a problem... unless you expect me to hold it for more than a couple minutes.

Bikes: have about 30 bikes right now

Homeless guy on a vintage bike= bike must be stolen. 1st how do you Know the guy was or is homeless and how do you know the bike wasnt donated by a non c/v person that didnt know the value of a full camp record pinerello. Or it could be the poor guys last remaining conection to the life he once had.

Hmm, downside to C&V?
1-My computer is farther from the fridge than my garage.
2-My wife suspects it's really porn.
3-I laugh out loud sometimes, and people exchange knowing looks about it....
4-Some group rides seem to come to my attention...
5-lsdmt can outride me, and he smokes.
6-His sister can outride me, and she rides a hybrid.
7-watching norskagent climb away.
8-roccobike's basement gives me spasms...
9-the web enables access to bikes I'm better off not knowing about...

No, no downside...

I had to upgrade when every operating system stopped supporting my preferred input device.

I've looked, but I can't seem to find the post to which you refer...
I just gave a homeless guy a 54cm Raleigh Rapide. I doubt anyone wants to confront him over it.

Thank goodness I have a supportive girlfriend and thinks it's "CUTE" when I drag home another bike.

99.9 % of people here is real nice. That's why my Dr. Jekyll side likes it. But my Mr. Hyde side likes the Road forum.

Downside of C&V ?

Once one starts hanging out here their participation in the other forums drops off.

Everyone is figuring out C&V is BF nirvana, and there are now 2 pages of new posts after a day off of forums.

People in C&V:
  • Don't think that a bike must cost $4000 to be a great ride.
  • Think that a 1990's bike is still pretty new.
  • Enjoy spreading the bike knowledge that they've spent years storing up.
  • Often wear cotton clothing.
  • Have fancy names for rust... names like "patina".
  • Actually take pride in their bike's "patina".
  • Aren't impressed by Shimano's new electronic shifters.
  • Would be impressed by Suntour electronic shifters!
