I saw this Voyageur locked up to the rack at my local Wal*Mart. My size, too.

[Bilenky] Wow, what a wicked tandem. Love the collars! Let's hope the owner isn't using an older Krypto mini U lock w/ circular cylinder. ;)

KonAaron Snake 07-29-12 12:12 PM

Wng - let's just say I studied the lock carefully and where it was in relation to the couplers ;)

Caught in the last month riding around Vancouver: In the second image from the rear is a Bianchi and then a Condor - was not able to identify the lead bike though. The third image is a Super Record equipped Basso, the parts were beautifully polished. Wish I had gotten a better shot of it though.

It's new but something I saw passing a small boutique bike shop. It might be good for pulling wheelies at least.

I was surprised to see this Cinelli parked between the normal Amsterdam citybikes. I am no Cineli expert so I don't know the type.

Apparently it is still used as a city bike with even some lights mounted in Amsterdam style and unfortunatly badly maintained and getting pretty rusty.

It still had a complete super record group and that was also getting rusty

Sad pictures. I don't think the owner knows what it got. That looks like a modern Speciale Corsa.

That Schwinn's looking really nice......except for those hideously positioned "budget bullhorns". Why do people keep doing that? Just get some proper upright bars and maybe a proper saddle to go with it then, but don't goof up the nice bike!:twitchy::mad:

That's like a unicycle with a training wheel!

velomateo 08-07-12 05:36 PM

What a sad little Eddy...and that terrible saddle. Just a shame.

First time I've ever seen one in person. Looks like a '92. Spotted in the Longwood Medical Area of Boston.

A tree grows through it...

Probably the ultimate un-classic, I think there's a motor in the rear wheel:

gaucho777 09-14-12 12:29 PM

I know this isn't classic or vintage, but I had to share this. I took these pictures from my car before the rider disappeared into the building with the "bike", so please forgive the poor, far-away photos. The "bike" was an electric model with a normal-sized rear wheel, and a small front wheel; also had taillights you can see in the first photo. Not sure what to call it. Anyone seen one of these before?

I've seen that Basso, it hangs out sometimes at that Italian sandwich/gelato/coffee shop on Commercial. It's gorgeous.

I have a Lemond frame like that, after riding it for awhile, I can understand wanting to convert it to a stool.

callig 09-14-12 11:41 PM

I've noticed a number of old bikes in my town this summer a lot of old 3 speeds one with a wicker basket on the front.Last week I was in the grocery store picking up a few things when I got in the check out there were two young ladies in front of me. The one that caught my interest was a tall girl in an ankle length summer dress wearing an expensive bicycle helmet. I thought how does she ride in that? As she picks up the bundle she says to the girl behind her. " the tricky thing is carrying her bag of groceries on the bike" When I got out she was no where to be seen so I headed home as I drove home I passed her riding a 10-speed girls frame one arm clutching the bag as she wobbly headed up the road in a long dress.
I live in a valley and any time you are on the roads going out of the valley there are only Carbon bikes and me on my old Bianchi
