I wouldn't call it a turkey, but it definitely looks like it's been upgraded a bit. The brake calipers are probably original, as well as the front derailleur, which are both entry level components. Looks like a decent 80somthing Japanese sport touring frame.

Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.

Thief deterrent that reminds me of Sheldon's Robin Hood.

Based on the seat lug cluster and parts, I would tend to agree that it could be a Japanese made frameset. Good quality with nice parts. Is that a Campy Super Record crankset ?

I think so. If it wasnt for that cool old kids seat [ Which I may add when I find out when it was made it will be going on a bike built around the samr time. I hope its from the 50s I have a Raleigh rod and drum brake bike it would look sharp on] I wouldnt have just walked by the pile It was sitting buy the front gate someone left the night before. Guess Ill pull the campy stuff off and and throw the rest on the bike pile
