1. Swiss BB experiment and city-bike conversion finished on '80 UO-10
2. reassemble RB-1 for juicy springtime flip
3. begin MSEd program in hopes of eventual employment and self-fulfillment
4. some quality time with my wife during a much needed 2 week holiday in Sarasota (while discretely eyeing the local CL for winter bargains:innocent:)

gomango 12-11-09 08:21 PM

1) Casati Gold Line S - The paint is now "pearl" white. The decal set is here, and so is a box of Campy 2009 Centaur and Record goodies. We built the wheels at the LBS while we were reading the "Colnago" thread appearing elsewhere on C&V last night. Almost as humorous as watching me build wheels.
2) Tommasini Sintesi- Beautiful bike will need a new chainstay. My turn in line is set w/ a very nice local builder. This bike came with Dura Ace goodies, eight speed. All going bye bye for the 10 speed Record goodies on my wife's teammate's Wilier. Good price. Great performance.
3) Rebuilding my son's MB-1 I bought for him after the burglars ripped off his Raleigh from our garage.
4) Remodeling our basement. Bathroom, Rec. room, work out room. and don't forget the new laundry. All GC'ed by yours truly. This is my waterloo. Oh, my wife would easily slot this project in at #1.

By the way jebensch, that pizza on your blog looks pretty darn good. :)

I have no where the quality bikes others are working on but I still enjoy tweaking what I have.

1) '82 Varsity custom project
2) '80 copper Super Course 12 resto (it's too big for me and am hoping to find another same year-same color frame in my size)
3) '74 Schwinn Le Tour resto (again to big but I want to build it anyway)
4) Early '70's Astra custom upgraded with newer components, mainly alloy wheelset anf cotterless cranks.

YoKev 12-11-09 10:10 PM

1) 1963 ladies Raleigh Sports. Near mint. I just need to put oil in the hub and mount the Schwalbe Delta Cruisers :) Then, it's time to sell!
2) 1949 Columbia Sports Tourist. Clean, Clean, Clean and put a chain on it. I will also be getting rid of this one I think.
3) 1978 Woodrup. Mount Sora RD, Ultegra FD, On-One Midge Bars, Stronglight 99 Triple (drillium), and Ultegra bar end shifters.

Amani576 12-11-09 10:32 PM

1) 1993 (?) Burley Tandem - Get it decent and roadworthy for next season.
2) 1974 Raleigh Grand Prix - Make it a fixed gear
3) Upgrade brakes on my Surly
4) Full drivetrain/wheel change on my Panasonic to modern 10 or 11 speed.

In no real particular order.

balindamood 12-11-09 10:43 PM

1). Put the Dave Moulton back together
2). Take the Super Champion sew-up rims off the Romic and put them on the Colnago. Re-lace the Romic with Super Champion clinchers and swap the 52-tooth chainring for a 46 (when I can find a black 70's Shimano 46-tooth chianring).
3). Refurbish the '77 Gitane Tandem for another season of the kids riding it into the lake
4). Completely re-furbish (including the frame) the '81 Araya Aero

r0ckh0und 12-11-09 10:56 PM

1. A handful of flips to get ready for Spring
2. Two projects in mind for Velo-Cheapo
4. Overhaul Club Fuji for self
3. Replace cranks and FD on the Haro Vector MTB for winter riding.

I have been abusing my 2000 Gunnar Rockhound for far to long. Once I get a suitable backup complete I can begin a major overhaul.

I may be headed to Alberta Canada in the Spring for employment and if that happens I will consider putting a multi geared drivetrain on the CrossCheck for some light touring once my work commitment is fulfilled.

Doohickie 12-12-09 12:17 AM

In the queue, in no particular order:

. 1983 Centurion
. 1960 Hawthorne/Hercules paperboy special
. 1984 Schwinn World Sport fixie conversion
. 199x Nishiki Sport frame buildup

But before I can do anything with them I need to get a bunch of tile laid in the house.

Antipodes 12-12-09 12:50 AM

1) 1988 Miyata Twelve Hundred - currently being converted to 8 speed Dura Ace STI (!!!!!!). Just waiting on the the rear derailleur in the mail.
2) 1956 Mastersports path/track racer - picked this up a week ago. Amazing lugwork and the highest flange Atom track hubs I've ever seen. Currently being stripped, cleaned and rebuilt.
3) 1980s unknown Japanese road racing frame. Winning a set of Velocity Chukker 700c wheels at the Australian National Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship has prodded me into making a road-sized polo bike/beater fixed gear.
4) 1993ish Davidson Impulse - deciding on what to do with this beauty with the looonnngg top tube. I was thinking of getting a zero setback seatpost and a subsequently longer stem to see if it improves riding position, otherwise I'll sell the frame and keep all the Sante bits for another day. Anyone interested in a high-end steel 65cm frame?

1. After replacing the radiator, I discovered I have torn CV boots on my Honda Accord. So, it's become a total assault on the front end: new clutch, CV boots, timing belts, water pump, and brake rotors. Work in progress...

2. Flush and replace the ATF in my wife's BMW 528i automatic tranny. The GM-made box is supposed to be a lifetime fill. But they're all suffering from shifting at 100k miles.

3. 94/95 Diamondback Sorrento MTB build. Bought a frame from a nice old lady clearing out her late husband's bike hobby. Less than $5. Also some misc. parts. I have a fork plus remaining drivetrain to piece together an all-purpose MTB/city bike to go on family rides.

4. Unknown vintage girl's 26x1 3/8" 10-spd bike called a Galaxy II. Wife wanted it while at the nice old lady's house. I need to strip it down and repaint it, then do a cruiser conversion. Cost of $15.

5... all other more involved bike projects will just have to queue up and wait for now. Been out of the loop for the past 6 months on family matters.

(wrong forum, and I know it is not bimmerforums but...)

E39 or E34? The E39s can be flushed after 100K with no issues, but the E34s would need their rubber parts changed if you are planning on doing it after 100K miles. Just a heads up.

It's an E39, and her's began the shifting 'clunk' at low speed. I've bought all the filters and gaskets for two flush and fill cycles. Just need to find a lot of Dexron III for cheap.
Thanks for the heads up though!
(Do prefer the bike projects!)

dahoss2002 12-12-09 06:48 AM

Have wheels (Velocity Synergy, early Deore XT hubs 730, DB spokes), Suntour XC Pro canti brakes and levers (champagne anodized) and XC seatpost and shifters, 7000 derailers, Nitto Dirt Drop stem and Jitensha city bars, Brooks honey B66S Champion saddle, Sugino Mighty Tour Crank, cassette. Need BB, pedals, vinyl graphics for the frame from JRrestore, ”seat sandwich“, Jack Green tires, Nitto hammered fenders, and eventually a custom front rack to fit it perfectly. Oh, and time + motivation. These 4 projects could take me that many years.

4) 197? Fuji s-10-s,... not sure yet

Grand Bois 12-12-09 01:16 PM

1. Wrap the Cinelli Priest bars I just put on my Gitane with yellow Velox and then brush on 3-4 coats of amber shellac. The idea is to achieve a color that approximates the color of a honey Brooks.

2. Repair and sand the vanity in my daughter's room and paint it espesso. It's built into an alcove and is an odd width, so I can't easily replace it. It was built 45 years ago and looks it, but I think I can save it.

I've been hunting for the orange and also the grey ones for years as well...

I have a pink Ofmega rear. I passed on a line green one for sale on ebay a year or so ago. I am still angry about that!

1) Rebuild ca 92 Merckx Corsa currently at SouthWest Frameworks for refinish. Need to strip cranks and polish, otherwise in good shape.
2) Get Lejeune Champ du Monde frame refinished and rebuild it. Have almost everything I need to complete.
3) Find drillium components for just acquired Italvega SuperLight.
4) Finishing touches on the Cannondale KillerVee 900 I just finished.

1. Finish up the lady's 2001 Bianchi Brava from full sora to 105/ultegra mix

3. Add some braze-ons to the lady's 1979 Miyata Gran Touring (its a sport tourer, if anyone wants to trade for full touring, let me know before I tear it apart!)
4. Decide the fate of my 1984 Paramount: either throw Dura Ace 9speed from my Cannondale or sell it... not sure yet :)
