Daccordi find and question on mystery hubs

This morning a friend dropped by with this gorgeous Daccordi he picked up. The previous owner bought it as a frameset and built it up before bringing it to the US. Components are mostly Shimano 600EX Ultegra with a pantographed TTT stem, Miche seatpost, Rolls saddle, Mavic tubular rims, and the mystery sealed-bearing hubs. Does anyone know who made these hubs?

The graphics and color "coordination" (hey its pink) are really nice on this one.

Fly ride.

What is "Nickle Protection", I wonder?

It's not quite as pink without the flash, but it is a great paint job. The Nickle Protection is apparently a full nickle plate under the paint.
