Cinelli Cinelli
As the title implies, this is a Cinelli Cinelli. Confused? It is the Cinelli bike that was built for Mrs. Cinelli (Cino's wife) back in the 60's. My wife took it for its first ride in North America yesterday. There still are a few more minor tweaks to be made but overall it is set up for my wife now.

I had been after the bike for quite a few years before finally being able to come to an agreement with the owner in late 2009. I then spent quite a bit of time and elbow grease cleaning it up and getting it ready. I am however pleased with the results. Check out the Fiamme Ergal rims and Campagnolo hubs, they positively shine now:

Cino fitted slightly smaller than 700 C tubulars on the bike. I have fitted some 700 C tubulars but they are a class B fit that will need to suffice for the time being, but it anybody has some very tight tubulars please do let me know as I could definitely make use of them on this bike.

There is some nice chrome on the lugs and fork crown (still the original chrome and paint!)
Cinelli rear wheel.jpgCinelli front end.jpg
As any sensible city bike, it is fitted with nice super lightweight mudguards (which have been drilled for the fitting of a skirt guard)
Cinelli stem badge.jpgCinelli head tube badge.JPG
There is both a headbadge and stembadge on the bike.

The stem is a chromed Cinelli stem/handlebar combo with brazed-on brake levers.
Cinelli rear derailleur.jpg
The derailleur is a Campagnolo Record from the mid 60's

Here is a photo of the Magistroni cranks with pie plate chain guard on the outside to prevent getting parts or legs dirty

Everything apart from the tires, pedals and saddle are original. The front fender is indeed in two pieces, one part behind the fork crown and the other in front of the brake caliper.

Very cool! Love the classic Cinelli lugs. Best "girls" bike ever!

Wow, and a true Italian racing insider, he put his wife on tubulars! Forza!

Sweet. Maybe time to host a slow ride (with no wind).

What a fun and interesting bike you have there.
Mrs. Gomango would look spectacular cruising into the local coffee bar on that sporty bike.
And Road Fan, my wife prefers tubs! Put them on her De Rosa of course.

the stem and bars look wrong. You should just send them my way and switch them out for some comfy risers.!

Sweet bike. It's about time you posted pics. I especially like the bars, there was a set on ebay a couple of days ago and it was very hard to resist.
Do you have any pictures of the decals on the seat tube? I would be interested in seeing those.
Also, does the ex-owner have any other Cino bikes of interest?

The former owner has two interesting tandems: a Cinelli road tandem and a Cinetica (One of three tandems built by Andrea Cinelli) carbon fiber tandem that is now over 20 years old.

Mrs. Road Fan would be fine on them, too, but there's no opportunity to convert her, lately. She's a hybrid fan, not a C&V rider. I'd have to rebuild a (shudder) 130 wheel set with Shimano hubs.

Talk about mixed metaphors! But it is spectacular.
I like the chrome fender stays! No expense is spared!
