Whew! For a minute there, I thought that some con artists were going to come steal my Raleigh (Grifter is old American slang for con artist).
Sorry that I can't get help with your question, although I believe that most Raleigh BMX bikes were sold in the States using the Rampar name. You might try searching under Rampar.

I remember one in the 70s called the Chopper, but can't remember a Grifter
