Brooks Swift question

i am looking for a new saddle for my bike, and i found this one on the west coast. it's a white Brooks Swift with chrome rails and copper rivets. I can not find anything on this saddle anywhere. The closest i got was on Brooks' site. There is a picture of this saddle on the link to "One of a Kind", but when you click said link there are no listings. The guy said "There is no box, but it is brand new and looks exactly like how it is in the picture on my table. We did a job where Brooks was a sponsor, and I was given one of these Saddles."

Is this thing that rare, or fake? It looks legit, but i cant find any info. You guys ever seen one?

Bikes: 1940s Fothergill, 1959 Allegro Special, 1963? Claud Butler Olympic Sprint, Lambert 'Clubman', 1974 Fuji "the Ace", 1976 Holdsworth 650b conversion rando bike, 1983 Trek 720 tourer, 1984 Counterpoint Opus II, 1993 Basso Gap, 2010 Downtube 8h, and...

I've never seen one.

I wonder if it's made for display, rather than use; I kinda doubt it would stay white on a hundred mile ride on a hot day.

It sure would look cool on the right bike, though!

I ride a honey colored Swift with several hundred miles on it. It has a darkened patina where my sit bones rest. Though that is a fine looking (and genuine looking) saddle, I would think the color would become a rather unappealing shade of gray with extended use. If you're not going to use it, then fine.

In 2009 Brooks made several batches of limited edition Professional and Swift saddles. They are all of various colors. Most have a stamped top commemorating an event in a major city around the globe. All I believe are numbered. If I remember correctly, the most made were 250 of each color.

I have a blue Professional with copper rivets (pictured in my avatar). Mine came in a round tube em-blazed with the Union Jack. Your white saddle is legitimate.

i have seen those, but this is not one of them (link to those - no white swift shown). this is white leather and doesnt have any kind of other stamping done to it. simply a white version of the swift. and if i buy this, i surely intend to ride it.

It looks to me like you've got a real brooks, cause I doubt that anyone would go through the trouble of building a saddle to look like a brooks. I have 2 brooks swift ti's, and your white saddle looks the same except for the color,,, right down to the skiving on the curtin.
BREAK IT IN AND ENJOY IT... It's the most comfortable saddle I've ever sat on.

Close, Bob, but no cigar.

The white Swifts are unrelated to the commemorative Pro saddles. Similar, but unrelated. These Swifts were a bonus for Brooks' top 50 dealers. Only one was sent per dealer; 50 are in existence. This is an example of one of those 50 Swifts.

Legit? Yes.
Unusual? Yes.
Elusive? Yes.
One-of-a-kind? No. More crap from the bogus hyperbole department.

You're welcome. Incidentally, for those curious, you'll find a reference to these 50 Swifts from Andrea at Brooks buried somewhere in the Imperial saddle thread.
