Bikes: Motobecane "Super Mirage"

Head Badge Heaven

1) I'm new to this site so I apologize if this has been brought up before but check out this web page I ran across last night. These people have a TON of old bike head badges, might be the one someone is looking for.

https://www.bikeville.com/headbadges.html

2) I'm about to repaint the head badge on my Motobecane "Super Mirage" Does anyone have an opinion on the best paint to use and is it necessary to use a metal primer first? I was planning on using metal model paint from a hobby shop, then clear coat, glossy or matt?

Motobecane black, red, and gold headbadge? Probably testors model paints. I dont think a primer or clear coat is necessary. Get a couple nice brushes rom an art/craft store.

I can't advise on repainting the Moto head badge, but just want to say thanks for the interesting head badge site.

Bikes: Waterford 953 RS-22, several Paramounts

$100 for a Paramount head badge seems a bit excessive to me, even if it is N.O.S.
