Did Cinelli make frames for Masi?
Just pick up a vintage Masi Nouvo Strada, and looking under the BB I saw the Cinelli logo, and Italy under the M cut out. I just wonder if the frame was manufactured by Cinelli?

No they did not. A lot of manufacturers did however use Cinelli bb shells. Unfortunately, some people sell their bikes as Cinelli’s because of this fact to unsuspecting naive buyers.

Columbus acquired Cinelli in 1978. What year is the Masi? I'm guessing it just has Columbus tubing and the resulting BB shell.

Congratulations on your Nuovo Strada! I think this is one of the most underrated bikes built. I just love mine and didn't really expect to like it as much as I do. It rides and handles wonderfully and I find myself smiling when I ride.
It was probably built by the Bilato brothers who I think build a great frame. They also built a Marin Argenta I had and the workmanship on that was great. I particularly like all the details on the Masi: The cinelli bottom bracket with the M cutout, the SLX/SP combination tubing, the engraved seat stay caps, rear brake mount and fork crown, chromed frame, and heart cutouts in the lugs. It maybe a production bicycle but it is very well made. Enjoy it!

‘Depending on the size, Gios had a shorter top tube and steeper head angle.
there are so many bikes with Cinelli IC bottom brackets, Cinelli did a good business.
