Final pics of my rebuild

I assumed the bike was repainted, but now I wonder. Tell us more about the paint.

Jspare - I used

on all the shiny parts. This stuff is awesome! Apparently its been around forever but it's new to me.
WTgrantham - Working on a profile shot...my backdrop was not big enough for the whole bike. Didn't know until after I took everything down that my wife told me that she has a huge black backdrop that is big enough.....so.....probably tonight or tomorrow I will shoot a few profile shots and what not and post them on here. I like the shots I posted...kind of artsy but I agree, nothing beats and great profile of the whole bike to give one a sense of it.
Grand - nice. You gave me a chuckle about how it's all ruined cause the cable is routed on the off side rather than the drive side. I personally wanted the drive side to be a 'clean' as possible...if there' is an 'etiquette' to cable routing, it escapes me....sorry.
David - No touch up paint. In my humble opinion, the original was far too scratched and ragged looking.... here's a few to show what I was working with. Keep in mind, these are AFTER I polished the paint with a rubbing compound....it was covered in white over spray of some sort when I brought it home. A lot of these scratches were down to bare metal.

Cyclo - I had the frame and fork bead blasted and powder coated with "Bengal Tiger Red". It was the closest red I could find in powder that wasn't going to cost me and arm and a leg.

Btw, can you use the Nevr Dull polish on the frame too?

might be a little steep looking at the "before" shots. I'm sure you have some cost to recover! Anyway, nice job with the refurbishing.

+1, I think the OP must have followed the "before" example and not the catalog.

Looks great! Your Brake levers are mounted backwards. The brake caliper was made for the lever on the right.

Kind of off topic but it's about the Nevr-Dull thing that OP has mentioned. Out of curiosity, I picked up a can of Nevr Dull from the hardware store and gave that a try. What I realized is the Nevr Dull thing is basically the same if you spray some WD40 on those cotton balls. Then you use those sprayed on cotton balls to clean your bike or whatever. It's the same thing!

To all: As for selling it at $900 smackers....well it's one of those things, if someone wants to pay it, then I'll let it go. I do have a "bottom" price but its no sweat off my nose if I don't sell it. Just wanting to see what would happen and what kind of market is out there.
I thought I had posted the side shot...
