I'm still thinking the rigid mtb would be the way to go, if I had to choose one bike. With ATV type rifle rack up front on the bars, not a scabbard. I've done it both ways, and it is much easier to unrack the rifle/shotgun from up front if you're in a hurry.

I have no problem with the Glock 21's (.45) trigger or any other part of it. Its a lot better than the ****ty ass "Custom" Kimber I bought, and all of the other hand guns I've owned. I put a few thousand rounds thru it (Kimber) and it was still a piece of ****. I hope you never take a fall while riding that thing! ;0)

I voted 3-speed also. There are going to be some collisions, and I want them to pack a punch. Can you say "ramming speed?"

I am a qualified in Zombie Apocalypse Training (Z.A.T.) and will tell you that your best weapons will be a semi auto shotgun and a pair of uzis and the most important thing you will need is utter ruthlessness and a lack of compassion for your fellow man.

For example... if Zorro gets bitten I am gonna cap his ass right there and then and ride off on his Hetchins.

they suck for you, but that doesn't make it correct and true for everyone now does it. (specially the zombies!)

I've put over 100 000 rounds through a .40 Glock and the trigger pull it outstanding. And since I've carried it at work for a decade I'm very used to it.
I hate guns with a safe position switch though.
Uzis are no good for zombies. You would want a head shot, not a bunch of bullets spraying everywhere.
I think a Glock 22 is a far more durable gun than a 1911, but not as good looking.

Here's a point that we're missing with this argument though. BBM and I are going to be carrying steel frames (I'll likely have my Baby Eagle/Jericho 941 because of some things I like about it rather than a 1911) and when we run out of mags the zombies are gonna get close. That's when we can brain them with our pistol. Try that with your plastic glock. Ever heard a zombie laugh? You're going to.

Back to the bikes... I'm thinking a chain case might be a good idea. Given all the debris that will be around, we definitely don't want to risk a broken chain.

- Light weight
- Highly maneuverable
- Fits easily into a car for an emergency getaway
- Could possibly carry it up a ladder (Zombies can't climb ladders!)
- And most importantly, puts me at the right height for my double samurai sword no hands riding technique (no guns here!)

Don't say I didn't tell you so when you waste 10, maybe 20 zombies, tops, and the next one gets you because your arms are too tired to swing anymore. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!1!1!

You're going to hate the gearing on it.

Another reason for the 3-speed... if you were riding around, and came across a nicer bike (like sixty-fiver's '57 Peugeot), you wouldn't kick yourself for having to give up a really nice bike when you rode off on it.

Depending on the kind of zombies we're dealing with, this might be the best option:

https://www.voodoocycles.net/nakisi.htm

With voodoo you can control zombies instead of running from them!

Uhhh, you're supossed to stay away from the zombies, but if they do get close for whatever reason thats where the machete's come in. Don't you know anything about putting together a Zombie survival kit!?

Actually, a 29er MTB is probably your best bet as far as wheels are concerned. I want to be able to go as quickly as possible without being held up by bumps and poor terrain.

That's a lot of bullets. Only with a MG42 belt fed light machine gun can I get even close to that number. Which btw would be very effective in this zombie game, but you might need a bicycle with a side car.

It's not too much if you're competing. I was running about 1,200 rounds a month through my Springfield at the height of my game, and did that for several years. I lost count at around 70,000. All lead SWC's, though - no jacketed. That gun is my favorite, and it would be my first choice for ventilating zombie craniums. It all comes down to what you're used to, I suppose.
