Frame decals for classic restorations
During the course of restoring my Harry Hall racing bike, I had recomended to me
https://www.hlloydcycles.com. They are located in Penrith England, and seem to be able to reproduce almost any of the frame decals for clasic cycles, including the "reynolds 531 renovated decal that my cycle carried.
Maybe they are already known to most, but I thought it worth mentioning.

The decals I got from hlloyds either did not stick or were very sloppy in presentation.
I purchased a set of Legnano decals last winter, hoping to fit them to my Cheapo Buildo bike, my Legnano "Nocostalotta".
The head tube decal absolutely would not stick to the painted surface. The seller offered, what I considered to be, a goofy suggestion to fix the problem.
The down tube decals were too large and had mismatched, or jagged lines. Additionally, the printing process left lines in the decal.
In all fairness, the seller seems like a very nice guy and did offer to refund my money, but too late. I was out of time and have no intention of dealing with hlloyds again.
These are the decals sent to me by the seller and you can read more about this here, if you wish...

I've ordered several things from them and have always been pleased. I wasn't aware that they did any reproduction, I thought the decals he has are all NOS.

They have both NOS and reproductions, and in both cases I kinda doubt they have complete control over what they get and what they sell. they have stuff no one else has, and they're pretty clear about its condition, etc. I got one set of decals from them, and the quality wasn't great, but I can't complain. It was either this or DIY.

Is it just me but does this page seem a little "jerk-ish"

Honest to goodness, these were the written instructions! I just said to heck with it. And the bike sits, unfinished and off of the radar, probably for quite a while.
Again, the decal seller tried hard to help me out, with guidance and the offer to return my money. None the less, the ball was dropped. If he has supplier issues, then he needs to deal with that. If he has application concerns, he needs to mention them before the customer purchases.
Again, just an old fellow's opinion

I cannot recall the exact procedure, but it had to do with applying my own glue and then sticking that to the head tube and down tube. This, alone suggested to me that he was aware of the issue. I almost forgot, in his instructions for use, included with my purchase. In addition to using a spoon to smooth down the decals, and perhaps a hair dryer to help them stick. If that failed, then I was to get some kind of white spirit based varnish, and ensure that I did not use cellulose to seal the decal...
