It was manufactured in 1974 ,possibly December, so it may be a 1975 model. The Campione del Mondo decal celebrates Felice Gimondi's victory at the Barcelona road race in 1973, which made him the 1973-1974 World Champion.
Edit: Based on the serial number in conjunction with the fork crown, it could be either a Special or a Rekord 74. It doesn't appear to the top end Specialissima. |

Need help with id
Hi everyone. I recently had this bike handed down to me. I'm hoping to identify it. Seems like the deeper I look, the more confused I get. It has ambrosia rims with Suzue hubs that have oil rings on them. Frame is made of Hi-Mn steel. Serial # is LS25480. Suntour arx derailleurs and sugino GT crankset. Metallic blue with chrome forks. 700x28c tires.
Thanks!!! I forgot to say...it has a 680mm bottom bracket and cable routing is under the BB. Integrated derailleur hanger. |

I've set my wife's bike up with tubular wheels and that has lightened it considerably she still rides it and enjoys it

I was referred to this thread by juvela as i'm trying to identify an old frame, which has no decals or anything. According to juvela it has Agrati "SPORT" lugs, meaning it could be a bianchi. The serial number is located at the bottom of the head tube and says: A29006. Anyone who could elaborate on that? :) If it helps i live in Denmark, but the previous owner told me it was bought in Italy.

I'm going to remark that for those dating Bianchis based on the 7.A inscription on the BB (the "7" denoting 1987), that although that is when the bike was made, it isn't necessarily the year that it was sold. A "7" might mean it was marketed as a 1988 bicycle.
I say this because I own a "7" bike whose paint/decals does not match the 1987 catalog, but instead the 1988 catalog. So during the production year, some bikes are made and thus shipped out for the following marketing year. Hence you will find "7" bikes with 1988 decals. There was a change in decals from 1987 to 1988 so this is how it is possible to determine that 7 doesn't mean 1987 but can in fact mean 1988. |

Hi all, just want to check if its a genuine bianchi, frame no 307605
cheers http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/q...do/_58%201.jpg http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/q...do/_58%208.jpg http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/q...o/_58%2010.jpg |
Ooh. I have a good mystery. Calling all experts. bianchigirl
This bike doesn't make sense to me. What's going on? Bianchi Brava - Pedal Room |
What doesn't make sense? It got Shimano New 105 which was 1987-1989. It's got the 1986-1987 Campione del Mondo decal, but is the round version used on the 1988-1989 models. The Bianchi logo style, what I can see of it, also appears to be the 1988-1989 version. The Unicrown forks are correct for the period.
