Kids!
I am finishing up a redo on a 91 Trek 720 Multi Track. A gentleman came by
this morning with his son, high school, to look at it. The kid didn't want any
part of the old bike, but he really liked the Schwinn Aluminum Comp, Walmart.
So I am keeping the Trek and they are buying the Schwinn. It has slicks and
was totally torn down and all the bearings redone with marine grease before
it was ever ridden. I got it on an exchange for a Schwinn Avenue I had a
lot of problems with, had to get another Schwinn at the same price. Never
have cared for the bike. 25lbs, rides like a truck. Geared like a crawler.

The kids at my sons elementary school were teasing him about his old slow bike with the skinny tires, I suggested he offer to race them to the end of the road and back.
I think my son and daughter are the only kids in their school with road bikes.

is just a real cool dude
I always like the 24" Schwinn road bikes back in the 80's when I grew up. I should of stuck with my gut feeling and got one of those instead of a BMX and I probably wouldn't of misses out of road bikes for so long.
