Did the OP mention that the Air fork is still available from Tommasini? If so, I wonder how much. Mine has some oxidation and I would not mind replacing it...

The other guy was actually a guy on a bicycle. He was coming the other way on the Capital Crescent Trail and veered into my lane. He did this very suddenly from right behind a group of people (I couldn't see that he was even there) and I had just enough time to think, "wow, where did this guy come from" before lights out. Woke up being hoisted into stretcher. Other guy was in a coma and in intensive care at least for five days after accident. Witnesses and subsequent police report laid the blame 100% on the other guy.

Holy cow. That sounds like one heck of a bike trail wreck. I'm glad it wasn't worse and at least you were vindicated for not being at fault. I wonder what the other guy's bike looked like?
