Bates?
A friend of mine has access to a bicycle that he says is a "Bates" that was made in Australia - anybody know anything about it? He says it has very ornate lugs... dunno much beyond that.
He'll get pix and send to me soon, when he does, I'll post 'em up.

the only Bates I know of is an English (I thought) lightweight. I think their big thing was a fork with a dogleg like bend in the middel for the rake.
