[QUOTE=noglider;15265018]Last Friday's snowfall.

Hey noglider left his bike outside and unlocked overnight again. He must want one of us to "borrow" it......:roflmao2:

RubberLegs 02-12-13 01:35 PM

Ran by the LBS and got some shiny, rolly bits for the lightly used Spindle that came in for my TREK 400T project. The old ones were...BADDDDDD....I HAVE seen worse, but they were NOT going back in there!

That's some green grass on the other side of that fence.

We've been getting more rain and chilly weather than normal, and the idyllic hills to our East are going to be especially vibrant and majestic this weekend. :thumb:

Great pics.
I miss gardening. One day I'll live someplace where there is soil on the surface.

Great pics!

My wife and I brought the boys out to La Jolla last summer and it was one of our favorite vacations ever.

What a beautiful area!

Working from Alaska this week and went to our employee's reindeer farm today. That was fun to say the least.

Some beautiful country around here (this was outside Palmer and Wasilla) especially since I love mountains.

Another feathered friend... this Jardine parrot is just a baby and is like a hyperactive kitten with feathers.

It is an Anole... if it was big and most often brown it is a Cuban (invasive) and if smaller it is the native Carolina (green) Anole.

Yummy.

I had some vintage honey on the weekend... it was put away 30 years ago when my aunt and uncle were raising bees on their farm.

I always buy local honey, last year's supply was predominantly wildflower which was excellent.

I did not know honey could last that long. Good to know.

RubberLegs 02-15-13 08:22 AM

Honey was unearthed in some of the Egyptian Pyramids, a BIT crystalized, but still yummy....after 2000 years.

Yep... it never spoils.

My aunt's 30 year old honey tasted as good as it did 30 years ago... she has long since retired from raising bees and honey, but had discovered a stash of older honey she had sealed up.

It was a very dark honey, it probably stemmed from them raising Canola which gives the honey a different flavour and shading than clover honey.

I thought they changed color from green to brown and back again.

That's true, and the Cuban anole or knight anole is much larger than the native one on the window above. Most of the time they're green, but they darken pretty quick if you get them mad, but not really as a camouflage mechanism. Here's the invasive variety, not blending in on a brown pole:
