Nice pic. Very elegant.

You have two seasons, right? Rainy and hot? Just curious. I've never been there.

The two seasons we have are rainy and hot at the same time(really high humidity); and mild by our standards/hot by yours, and dry. Six months of each. The rainy season is also the hurricane season.
Very soon that bottom land where I was standing will be full of water and mosquitos.

Forth rail bridge. 123 years old still handles 190+ trains a day. 64,800 tons of steel used to make it, ten times as much as the Eiffel tower. 7 years to build. Cost the lives of 63 men and Outlasted the 1960's forth road bridge which is now being replaced. Cost £2.5 million in 1890. Pretty cool.

Wonderful symmetry! The top tube between the two fork blades gives a sort of floating-in-space feeling to the fork. What frame is that? And what fork crown?

Brent

Just a regular ol' Mercier Kilo TT. I've put thousands of miles on it and am quite fond of it :)

The snails here in San Jose are quite impressive. I've taken quite a liking to the curious little critters.

Sure beats the tarantulas in New Mexico!

Saw it on the way home from school, looked pretty cool.

yes, those are morning glories. I was amazed how quickly they grey from seedlings just a few months ago. We moved into our new place in mid april. That's just two months of growth.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-E...5F8A453EB5.JPG

the place really looked like a prison yard with the rocks and zero vegetation, but we've effectively changed that.

everything here was seeded at the same time.

i only regret that i never did get around the planting tomatos, which I've been saying i'm going to do for three years now.

Mating cicadas

Two-and-a-half-year-old triplets we met in the park, adoring the cicadas.

Holiday go for it if you have a sunny spot you can still plant tomatoes in San jose..... just get a pretty big one from home depot or the like. I usually have tomatoes into Oct.

How many pounds?

What did you catch her on?

gomango 06-07-13 02:56 PM

A Tuscan Cicada near our Villa in Volterra.

They were everywhere in the olive grove.

Hey Gomango. Not sure of the weight but it was about 33 inches long, and heavy. Pic is when I released it. I caught it on this.
What I call my "skinny" Clouser. Made with slinky synthetics instead of buck tail. Very small and sparse.

Wait a minute! You have a Villa in Volterra? My oh my. I think I remember seeing a pic of it on here but still....:)

We loved Volterra.
