I've off and on been thinking about building one, or having it built, for the past 7 or eight years.
Edit: Looks like I might want to continue in that direction.... |
^One might say you pine for a cargo bike.

In California Yolo is a large flat agricultural county with lots of wide open small roads through the farmlands - Perfect for that bike!

haha not sure about that post... The bike cave below central station is one big construction site. Boy I wish I was in California, as summer has been suspended here indefinitely. It's june right now and the temperature and rainfall are still stuck in march! Horrible.
We have had severe T-storms roll through here the last three nights. Sixty mile an hour winds, lots of lightning and urban flash flooding. Trees down in our neighborhood. This is on top of a cool, very wet spring. I would really like to see the sun one of these days...... |
Interesting Birmalux seatpost on my Trek. Seems to be double stamped. Cool.

Banyan Tree. That's my bike there to give you an idea of scale.

Route 35 - Bay Head / Mantoloking NJ
the Jersey Shore is still not recovered from Hurricane Sandy. My favorite route through Point Pleasant, Bay Head, & Mantoloking still shows signs from Sandy.

Got to do some gravel grinding on my ride today, thanks to the fellows from Normal Township. Well Done. |
Got tired of searching for tapered head bolts.
So I made some. http://i.imgur.com/SlP5Czwm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FNqDAbhm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rCdHLh9m.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mZ7xztim.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9rGSx1Xm.jpg |

Got back last evening from a second honeymoon in London (and one day in Paris). A few of the vintage stuff I saw (and one shot of my wife and I). Never did get a good shot of an Austin Mini. My wife just laughs at them but I think they're pretty cool - a go cart with an enclosed cabin.
It was funny to talk with one of the younger male employees at the Lotus store and find out his dream car is a '69 Mustang - guess the muscle cars of the 60's are popular over there. This old Raleigh resided outside the flat we stayed in: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0477.jpg A 531 framed (well, at least the main tubes, don't know about the fork) Falcon on the River Thames: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...SAM_0634-1.jpg Free bike safety check during the evening commute: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0642.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0625.jpg Two lonely Peugeot's on a London street: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0695.jpg Old Rolls Royce Silver Spur: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0706.jpg Ford (Mercury in the states) Capri: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0705.jpg Mercian - 5 spd, only one shifter http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...m/SAM_0717.jpg |
