Another Saturday with no bike photo - however, I was the lucky recipient of sideline passes for the local Division II football game - that's a whole new perspective.

Bikes: 1997 Giant MB, 2011 Felt Z85 Road Bike...and searching. Why didn't anyone tell me that when you get into biking you develop a sick need to own more & more bikes!?

Okay, u win... I want your garage!
A recent scene of what's in my garage. I picked up my 1st E-stay bike over the weekend. (Always wanted one!) Here, I'm battling with the stuck seat post. Eventually, I got it off, but required drilling a hole to bolt the top to the post in order to prevent only the top from twisting.
A bunch of flips on the floor in the background, and my wife's Schwinn Super Le Tour to the right.

Just brought this one home. It has been stored in a garage since 1972. I upgraded to the vintage Wrights saddle, but everything else is original and mint. Just brought it home yesterday, and I just took these pics. Not a top of the line bike, but not too bad either. I've been riding it all day

A pic of Roger M's Titan and my Spinella at Lake Cassidy today. A nice 50 miler on the Centennial Trail:
BTW, the pic does not do Roger's ride justice; the paint and chrome are absolutely gorgeous. It looks as though the frame was barely ridden before he got it.

Went with the family to the Pacific Science center in Seattle, this weekend. It's just next to the Space Needle.
The Butterfly room was full of these things
If anyone's been following the local Seattle news, we have our own 'Super Hero'/vigilante. His handle is 'Phoenix Jones'. I was hoping to get a glimpse of him while in town. However, I was denied.
However, we did see 'The Man of Steel' flash past.

^ What fruit is that? I saw them in a local market this past weekend. Hadn't seen them before, must be in season. How they taste?

That's Dragon Fruit. It has a seedy texture not unlike a kiwi.

A thirty second exposure at f/2.8, ISO 3200. Nikon D700, Tokina 16-28.
The light streak is the warning beacon from an aircraft passing overhead during the exposure.
The more interesting fly-over occurred a coupled of days later. We were at a historical site in a valley. A C-130 buzzed low overhead in a bit of nap of the earth flying.
It had side blisters, sort of like the old Navy WWII era PBYs. Probably on its way to Fort McCoy.
I turned to the guy next to me and said, "You gotta love those Lockheed products."

From Thursday's ride:
My dad on his Spectrum heading down to the lake on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes in N. Idaho
A couple of the views from the trail as you get to Lake Coeur d'Alene:
The abrupt end to the ride - my dad waiting for the ambulance after drifting off the trail, crashing and fracturing his pelvis. I had about a 1.5 mile walk to the next town with two bikes where my brother picked me up.

Sorry to hear about your dad's fall. With all that beautiful scenery, I can't blame him for not watching the road. I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

sorry to hear that about your dad.
on another note, it sure it hard to get across how steep a hill really is in photography, isnt it?
here's a hill I rode up two days ago. it's pretty steep but in the pic is looks like a walk in ths woods
