Just got the tint 2pack primer on today, waiting for the right whether to start the top coats.

The basement of my local hardware store, where you'll find a pretty impressive selection of model planes, trains, and automobiles (and a great source for model paint).

O__O

*sigh*... I'm stuck in a small town filled with retired white people. The grocery store has minute rice or brown rice, and the brown rice is in the "suspicious foreign foods what shouldn't mix with Wholesome American Starch" section. This looks like heaven.

Thanks, I'm very lucky to have a cool market within riding distance (and they let me park inside the store too!) That aisle is mostly Thai, Japanese, & Vietnamese rice, there's more on the Halal & Indian aisles :)

A few locals were around when I went to feed the chickens so grabbed some pic's. These guys are almost like pets to us.

This one is carrying a growing joey.

This fella is about a year old and was born on our property.

They look so much healthier than the ones that I've seen in zoos in North America!

jbchybridrider 07-14-12 07:15 AM

They are wild animals with loads of green grass this time of year but have become very used to me getting close.

Wow - cool! We've got a tiny place in Oak Harbor that's a market up top and a small hobby shop below. Looks just the same as your place, just a little smaller in size and selection.

I had to do a double take and check your location when I saw your pics :)

Some other classics...

Just finished tearing down my old Johnson 100B after a weekend of fishing... took no time at all to break it down, make sure it was clean and lubed, and get it put back together.

These old reels are beautiful in their simplicity and fact they just keep working year after year after year and this one has been serving me for a very long time and puts a lot of modern reels to shame.

Just back from the US, and still recovering from the trip. I managed to carry all of this back without incurring any airline baggage fees over and above the cost of one extra bag. I may just try it every time I return. To what end? Feeding the addiction, I guess.
There are a few things that I could buy here, but the vast majority is just unavailable.
This one will be my first build, and is for my wife. She wants to paint it candy apple red.

"Stoppinggggg!" Frank called out as we were heading back to the start after our breakfast ride. What was he stopping for? Did he have a flat? Busted chain? No, he spotted two girls and their mom at a lemonade stand and decided they needed our patronage. Nothing like cold, frsh lemonade on a hot morning!
