I want to get a nti stem bolt fr my cinelli quill stem and I've heard improper tightening is potentially bad/unsafe and I'm as to a proper torque measurement for old cinelli quill stems?

Which model? I think I've always done about 125 in.lbs (wet) on Cinellis with steel parts (XA, 1A) and have never had a problem. I don't know if there's a spec or not. I do know the aluminum 1R bolts are tricky if not torqued correctly. I won't even ride those as I can't ever find the fine line between slipping and stripping.

In answer to an email I sent, Cinelli's recommendation for the 1A stem are 18Nm (160 in.lbs) for the stem binder bolt and 15Nm (133 in.lbs) for the handlebar binder.

Uh oh. Now I gotta find a 7 mm hex wrench fitting to attach to my torque wrench.....

I got my 7mm from McMaster Carr. Also handy for C-Record cranks!
