Having seen that Rivendell, I'd let that grate on my nerves any time...BEAUTIFUL bike and your build was inspired.

My bad. I think you're right, the SC is still around for nostalgia. But with a 55 year history, I think Cinelli will be able to make a buck off of it for a while.

Since this forum drools over Varsitys, Surly bikes will be a big hit in another 10-15 years. Same for Soma. And Torelli makes some nice steel frames. And Mondonico.
Tommassini has some very nice steel frames.
Not sure if you can get them in the U.S. but Basso has a nice lugged steel bike: https://www.bassobikes.com/en-Uk/viper-vintage.php
And don't forget all the builders that attend the NAHBS.

[QUOTESo nobody has posted any inexpensive bikes...]
Surly, Soma, Raliegh & Masi could all be had for around a 1K, rather inexpensive in comparison to the rest of the herd.

Gorgeous.
If it's one of TMB's bikes, they are beyond my "mortal" means.
Man, he has some beauties. I miss seeing them on the forums.
I've only seen one of these in person, but that fork burned a hole in my brain.
Pretty, and so distinctive.
So classy.
Good taste in cars as well.

Are all Pegoretti's highly regarded? Reason I ask is that a shop near me has about 10 unbuilt frames for sale. Lots of other high-end carbon & steel as well. I thought that they were uncommon until I went there. None were lugged if that means anything.....
Here is a link to their current stock of Pegoretti.

I happen to "enjoy" his take on the modern bicycle.
Clearly, a Luigino would be an incredible bike to own.
I met Dario Pegoretti at NAHBS and he was so nice, it floored me.
I like what he has to offer a great deal, but I must admit, he is a little out of my price range for the next few years or so.
I don't see used Luiginos ever, so that is no option.

I'm a fan of Folk Engineered bikes, hand made in Newark, NJ, a short bike ride away from me.
The rest of these pictures are at https://www.folkengineered.com/store/Stitched-Bike and https://www.flickr.com/photos/volcani...7626690736360/
No, the frame isn't actually stitched. It's just made to look that way, but the handlebar wrap is stitched on.
Max if I wanted to do so where would I go to order that Cinelli? is Cinelli still building steel bikes? also is it just me or does something look odd about it?
Something does look odd about that cinelli... i think it's the very short stem that is also too high.
It just looks TOO big! sorry...!

Thanks Marc! They call it "Grilver" (Grey & silver). The paint was a mistake but hey gave me a good discount. They offered to repaint it any color I wanted but after checking out you Hunq, I thought the color would work out, so I kept it. Glad I did!
