Looks like someone had way too much time and too many drill bits on their hands. I agree with Randy on being leery of using this crank. With my size and tendency to mash really hard when pedaling I'd break it first time out. Like I need a bad (or even a good) crash.

Drillium Dudes hole patterns and actual machining are well executed and pleasing to look at.. Not even in the same league on Randy's crankset.

Randy, do you know the person that did the drilling? Or did I miss when you said who?

Bill

Bikes: Soma Saga, 1991 Sirrus, Specialized Secteur Elite, Miele Umbria Elite.

You could fill those holes up with pop rivets and it would be gooder than new!

Randy, do you know the person that did the drilling?
Nope! The only history I have regarding the crank set is that it was fitted to my sixties something Peugeot PX10. Well, fitted is not the right word. In the box with the rest of the stuff, including a bent frame and fork set...

Glad you were able to save that frame - looks as though it's something purty nice

If you're gonna go light, go light. This guy was cutting lightening/"ram air" sections out of his 170HP ZX-10R frame:

Either that, or he was looking to build in some "storage" space...
