Bikes: Was Fuji and got my grails (Pro, Pro SR, Design Series, & Ti). Now I hunt 50's/60's road bikes.

Unknown Carlton/Raleigh?

IDing this frameset has been bugging me for some time. Can any of you do it?

It has been repainted by CycleArt, which is no cheap endeavor. I assume the housing stops were added at this time, possibly with some other work as well.

It is also fitted with some nice Japanese components, if you like the old DA line, but these clearly seem to be replacements.

The chainstays look a little long, for which I ruled out the Competition and Professional. I wondered about the possibility that this is an International, but some features don't seem to fit and I cannot positively ID the lugs(Crespera?).

Why would someone spend the money on a repaint for anything lower than these and use Raleigh/Carlton decals? This is just a mystery to me. Please help.

Bocamas? That would be around '75 or so. Any serial number?

Sorry, these are the seller's pictures. I don't know the serial or have many more pics of any use. Most of the other pictures are of the crankset and such. This is the only useful one for IDing the frame.

Seat tube is 58, c-c. TT is 56, c-c.

That is my guess, but I am not sure.

Those certainly aren't Crespera lugs on the headtube, - pretty tidy looking unit though.
What happens to those backstays - do they wrap over the top and join up, or do they do something else ?

Need serial number, and seat post diameter (for starters).
Stamped dropouts with an integrated derailleur hanger - that should narrow it down, but I'm not familiar with any Raleighs that had D/Os like that....
