(above) Neil Peart, for those that don't know; I was ignorant of him until hearing a long Public Radio show in memorial to him early 2020, on a drive returning from Canada. I think they said he often biked between concert locations.
There could have been no group without him. -D.S. |

If he gets on the bike, he wouldn't be Walken.

The photo online says Vogue lower right corner, so I think this is from a photo shoot. But she doesn't appear to be modeling any good clothing, which would be unusual for a Vogue shoot. |

Yes, as I heard in the article. Even more impressive was that he later played with the Buddy Rich band. In the movie Whiplash I think, was a poster of Rich, with the caption IIRC, "Without technique, you'll end up playing in a rock and roll band", or words to that effect.

Notice the TALL frame size, and she's still got the seat up. She also looks strong.

Looks like they're climbing, too. Check out her rear cog selection. Must be quite a slope- I rarely have to go that low.
-D.S. I have to climb in granny (21 gear inches) all the time in my city. I used to always grind my way up, only in recent years have I learned to climb standing as it's easier on my knees, and if the right cadence for not revving out but not having to pull hard, just putting my weight on the pedal, it's pretty efficient too. Usually my standing gear is two or three cogs up from the sitting gear. |

Yeah I noticed she was in granny, and the fellow on the small 'ring at the very least. I was wondering if he was anyone famous in cycling. I've never seen that pic before.

Here's a less cropped photo of Brooke. Searching the web, I found out that guy with her is Willy McCarty. I'm still searching to see who he is.

Guy's got the classical TDF type physical build, at least. Looks like he's in bull low too- look behind Brooke's left calf.

Harrison Ford was still actively riding roadies at 78 years, wonder about now at 82.
