I love builds like this. Nothing "normal" to be seen. I would go with the groove. Have you thought about a 3T Mutant?

AFAIK

Mine is in fine shape. I had it on my MTB for a while, that looked goofy.

Since we are chatting in two different threads.... check your PMs

i think it has convinced me as well. silver seatpost, silver spacers, silver headset, silver bars, and a paint to match stem:

i also realized that the top tube is shorter than i remembered and absurdly short for its height (60x56) if i want to match the fir of my other bikes i will need a 140mm stem.

i appreciate the offers grady and yellowjeep but i think the kelly wins.

No problem!

Back to the box with its other friends.

Oddball ti stems, Bianchi stems, H2Os, etc.

It was fun looking for it yesterday.

Sometimes I scare myself. I found a box/package with a 1R, an XE, and two 1as.

Yipppppeee!

I have no idea where or how they came from, but a guy can never have too many stems.

Figures there was no ti Grammo in there.

Fun build Casey, keep her rolling.

there is a threadless grammo on ebay but it is way to rich for me.

the only hangup will be kelly compatibility with the carbon steerer. traditionally a split steel camp on carbon would scare me but the easton has a flat relief at the rear and the instructions only say "rear pinch clamp only"

i wish it had an alloy steerer but by looking at that i cant see why i shouldnt go kelly.

I'll find a Grammo in my price range for my Colnago Elegant.

A little patience will be rewarded.

I will post a weight but the frame and wheels are both heavy. The frame is ~2500g. I didn't put the wheels on the scale but I would guess over 2000g.

Bikes: 1988 Schwinn Circuit. Bike-Boom-Puegeot. First "real bike" Trek 720 Hybrid in gross disrepair.

Now this here, this is something.

You'll have to get a retro-future helmet to seal the deal.

White patao cages are pretty cool. If I had a home for them I would help you out. Are you saying the soft silver is really dark? How would it look on my yokota? Check out the bar/stem pic in m thread. I debated a dark gray tape.
Yeah, the soft silver is really like a medium dark to dark gray. I think you could do worse on the Yokota.

Those wheels are the funkiest things I think I've seen!

As I said, both frame and wheels are heavy but I will get a total. These parts should keep things within reason:

RD
FD
Shifters
Fork
Headset
Seatpost
Shifters

My wife votes I go black. Do you agree?

The wheels were on oem on several giant models, mainly the first gen tcr. It was an odd duck then it came out.
