Once the original steel fork is gone, I have no problem with a CF fork replacement, particularly if there is an effort, paint or otherwise, to aesthetically match it up.

My vote: use the CF fork, have it painted to match the bike, and the bottom part of the blades chromed to play with the chrome stays. Contact a spray chrome place in your area, ask around the hot-rod car places, they chrome plastic stuff all the time. Then sit back and watch the double-takes.
