removal of registration stickers

Hey guys. I have picked up that Sports tourer from 74. Any Ideas on how to remove an old city bike registration sticker? What do you use?

+1. A hair dryer is usually the way to go. I use thin guitar picks to peel them back after they have warmed up.... any thin piece of plastic should work.

I personally wouldn't remove them unless you are planning a repaint. I think it adds to the whole C&V thing and clearly doesn't reduce the value of the bike. It is part of the charm of an old bike.
