Spoke Washers (Will these work?)

https://www.shop.velofuze.com/VeloFuz...sher-VFRNW.htm

I want to build some tubulars this summer so i found a nice set of Nisi 700c hoops from one of our other members, but they don't include the supported eyelets. Should these do the trick? Do i need special tools to install them or do i just drop them right into the top of the rim.

Thanks!

-Harry

Measure the rim bore to KNOW the max outside diameter you can run, I have found 4 mm washers that are suitable, the referenced ones appear smaller in outside diameter than I would like. The original Nisi washers actually had a formed shape, basically as a trim washer might be found to accept a countersunk screw. They were filled too.

So is it possible to find the correct washers?

If so can someone please post a link of where to find them.

I used similar washers as you linked without complaint on these tubulars.

I just built up a very similar Nisi tubular wheelset. I got washers from a BF member that look exactly the same as the ones Ex Pres posted. The ones I got either ARE the original/correct washers for those rims or the modern equivalent.

Oh and no special tools. Just patience and a lot of fiddling to get them inside the rim.

Ovals are nice, but the round ones will work fine as well. I've seen the cupped washers with the soft material inside used on Nisi's high-end rims, but not always. My experience is that they dry up over time without any change in spoke tension. They seemed no better or worse than any other washers I used & rode on as far as staying true and preventing the rim from cracking. Doesn't matter since I don't know of any way to get them today.
