As a general rule I don't believe in wall hangers but this bike makes a good case for one. What an incredible bike. Absolutely incredible.

Marco, (Marc) Rossin, not Mario.

Below the answer conserning the Miele relationship:

Hi Jörg,
my father told me that he had a business relationship with mr Miele between 70’s and 80’s. Their relationship came to a sudden end because of such a conflict about payments.
My dad didn’t explain me further details of that story. Many years have passed and maybe he cannot remember perfectly.
Have a nice day

From much reading, it looks like Mr. Rossin was Mr. Colnago's main frame builder, then later went to work for himself. But we don't have a clear picture of what all he did with Jim Miele. I guess you could simplify it, and say he (Mario) helped Jim set up his factory, but it would be great, if he could elaborate a bit. Thanks.

From: Queens NYC

Bikes: Colnago Super, Basso Gap, Pogliaghi, Fabio Barecci, Torelli Pista, Miyata 1400A

You can really see the Colnago influence in that frame.

The paint, and even the decals and their placement look very similar to my 78 Super...

Beautiful bike and a great story as well!

On the other hand, seeing a bike with that heritage doing duty at l'eroica brings a smile to my face. I think it deserves to be ridden - maybe not daily or without due respect, but once in a while, absolutely.
