Below the answer conserning the Miele relationship:
Hi Jörg,
my father told me that he had a business relationship with mr Miele between 70’s and 80’s. Their relationship came to a sudden end because of such a conflict about payments.
My dad didn’t explain me further details of that story. Many years have passed and maybe he cannot remember perfectly.
Have a nice day

Hello gmanella, and thanks for sharing here.
I wonder if you can help us understand better, the relationship Mr. Rossin had with the late Jim Miele, of Canada. Some people have called the better Miele bicycles Canadian Colnagos, but I don't think that's very accurate, more like stretching the truth.
From much reading, it looks like Mr. Rossin was Mr. Colnago's main frame builder, then later went to work for himself. But we don't have a clear picture of what all he did with Jim Miele. I guess you could simplify it, and say he (Mario) helped Jim set up his factory, but it would be great, if he could elaborate a bit. Thanks.

You can really see the Colnago influence in that frame.
The paint, and even the decals and their placement look very similar to my 78 Super...
Beautiful bike and a great story as well!

On the other hand, seeing a bike with that heritage doing duty at l'eroica brings a smile to my face. I think it deserves to be ridden - maybe not daily or without due respect, but once in a while, absolutely.
