Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

"Professionals" have serial numbers stamped on the caliper arms.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

I think the OP was referring to his Modolo levers when he mentioned holes on each side and ridges down the middle of the lever. Many older modolo models used that lever design in various anodized colors from gold, silver, black, red...etc. but the Speedies usuallu had "Speedy" pressed pn the front, so they are easy to spot. Velobase can be very useful to narrow it down to what model it is.
The levers were also sold separately from the calipers by dealers. I had a nice gold one with the "Modolo" name on a slant in front. I wish I still had them as I found them tons more attractive than their calipers that I found kinda wimpy and thin looking at the arms.
