Yay, £113 on Ebay: 1961 Holdsworth Cyclone (22")
Surface rust only everywhere I've looked so far.
Only issue I can see so far is rear OLD is 114, was expecting 120.
With GB Forged Hiduminium stem, mismatched Weinmann levers, cottered "made in britain" BB, unknown headset, and Milremo decal for some reason.
Edit: Found the original colour under the crown race: Flamboyant Red
Edit: BB is Baylis Wiley, headset is Stronglight
Frame 1975g, forks 785g, total 2760g (6.08lbs)
Surface rust only everywhere I've looked so far.
Only issue I can see so far is rear OLD is 114, was expecting 120.

I'll bet a nice oxalic acid bath will take care of much of your surface rust. A coat of wax will slow down its reappearance.

Should be an interesting project. I think my Automoto was supposed to have 114-116 rear spacing (four speed derailleur). It came with ~126 with most of that added to the drive side. I'm going to go to 120 simply because that's what I have for a rear hub, but will stick with four speeds because that's all the Simplex TdF rear derailleur I have can handle.

I've found some "1K synthetic fleet enamel" designed for brushing which I don't think will show brush marks if you tried (12 hours to recoat).

While these caps are absolutely beautiful, the truth is Campagnolo's special pedal cap wrench doesn't fit the serration pattern on the repros. I've heard Shimano's similar tool, however, is a good fit; can anybody confirm?

Don't know about a Shimano wrench but neither my Campy or MKS work on them.
I was however able to get them tight enough by hand that I could not get them off by hand.

Now it is a new school; Depauw where I will being doing the same kinds of things. I didn't think anyone could even read that text. It was covering the names and addresses of the sender and me. Har! I trust the rivers aren't treating you too badly. Smiles, MH

As my hearing gets worse, blocking out wind noise seems like it would help a bit. They look a little dorky, but I've leaned to the dorky side my whole life...
Frame #1 is in the home stretch. Got decals from Gus Salmon yesterday.
And, I figured I should get some decals for my Schwinn Super Sport, which needs paint (also from Gus). It was a freebie frame, so I'm thinking I might do the work myself.

My second used Tern Stasis seatpost just got delivered by Saudi Post this afternoon...
... That'll probably go onto my newly acquired Dahon Jetstream in place of both the original, 20mm-offset seatpost and the stand-in,
zero-offset Litepro I'm running now, along with...
... which also came to me today. I'm not in too much of a hurry to put them on the Jetstream, though; the factory Winzip floating-caliper brakes are really very good, especially with the ceramic pads I swapped in, so I'm going to keep using them for a while longer as I get to know the bike more. I'll probably swap the Shimanos in with the new L-twoo 11-speed groupset (A9 or AX) that I'm about to order.

Thinking of going clipless with these, because the cleat won't adjust far enough aft for use with medium (my standard) toe clips. Instead of paying $80+ for Campy large clips, I believe I can find pedals for less than that.
