Thanks Gomango - Yes, that's the BB I have on 2 frames - one a Conic SLX the other a Super and both from around the start of the 90's. Love the bike by the way - lovely colour. I have seen the Colnago BB in question before but my memory is 'on the way out'. I can't remember the circumstances now.
I also like the Yellow frame of this thread as it's a bright and clean yellow and as Bianchigirll suggests it's unusual to see a solid yellow Colnago frame.

Thanks Gary.
My favorite all time Colnago!

Looks like a late-80s/early 90s Super. The seatstay caps, BB shell and of course the braze-on FD tab all point in this direction. Later models - such as Grady's Elegant - ceased with the clover cutout in the BB shell. The cutout here is definitely the later version - the early version up to around 1980/81 had a pointed bottom to the clover's stem.
Another interesting note about the BB shells around this timeframe: there were a couple different versions with differing embellishments. Some had the clovers cast in (a la Grady's) the round portion of the shell, some had those same clovers cast into an aerodynamic addition to the forward part of the shell and some had the "Colnago" engraving as seen here. On the bottom, some had simply the clover cutout, some had "Brev. Colnago" as seen here.
Lots of variation even into the 90s - but I'm pretty confident this is right around the turn of the decade.
This one sure is a survivor if that's original paint - yellow is extremely hard to keep clean, not to mention trying to keep paint scrapes/chips hidden!
Nice

Bikes: too many or not enough
For reference some details from my original mid 80s Superissimo SLX (I sold this bike some time ago):

Note pump peg and fork crown.

Not panto on top of BB shell.

Seat stay shape is similar but COLNAGO instead of clover.

Bottom bracket the same.

SLX frame, braze on fd mount, two sets of bottle cage brazeons.

Now thats one nice bike Bluedevil63. It looks very much like the yellow framed Colnago too. Wish my Colnago's had a pump peg on the steerer tube.

My "78" Superissimo has that BB shell, clovers . It seems common on Superissimos. Incidentally it also has a serial no. 78 XXX Ed
