Zeus project

My new project, an old Zeus, I believe 1970's Competition? Not sure if the fork is an original as the frame has Zeus drop outs and the fork has Campagnolo drops. The fork crown looks different from the older Zeus bikes I have seen. So far, I have a nice brown Brooks waiting with some Zeus brake handles and a Zeus Rear derailleur on the way from another forum member. I may use some Nuovo Record parts I have laying around to complete the build or maybe patiently wait for the other Zeus bits to pop up on Fleabay.

I am selling my Zeus, which is too small for me. In addition to the frame set, I have several Zeus components and some NOS Zeus tools.

The frame and fork set is on Ebay right now, with about a day left. Have a peek, if you like.

Hi Randy,

I wish that frame was my size, love the color. Pm sent on some of the Zeus parts.

I noticed one of your old Zeus frames had forks similiar to mine. Found the pics in this link (the Red one)

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...highlight=Zeus

Not sure if they were the same, any idea if the drops were Campy on that Red frame?

Zeus drops on red Zeus I had at one time. The bicycle has, long ago, found a new home and, in those days I did not document my findings quite as well as I do these days. With this in mind, have a look at the pics of the drops and do your best to guess at what they are. Looks like Zeus Competicion to me...

...hope this is a help.

Ideally, a Zeus frame would be built with Zeus parts. They turn up on ebay now and then, usually expensive but you never know. I have 3, and had to track down parts for each...

Yep, it was my size so I gave him a fair offer to end early. I was looking for one my size for a while.

I risk breaking rules, but I have several sets of NOS Zeus LF hubs that are only collecting dust.

Maybe if I ask about trade for orphan left pedals. I have 4 different orphan rights, including a nice orphan right Zeus. go figure.

PM me.

Nice frame. Build it all Zeus.

I would also have to agree that with the OP that the forks may not original. There is no chrome and Zeus seemed to like the bling all the Zeus forks I have seen have had some chrome, with chrome socks on the rear I would expect to see either full chrome or chrome socks and crown on the front.

Gotta say, I really think Zeus had some stylin' graphics. And does Zeus rhyme with "Amadeus" or with "juice?"

Never thought I would use the words "Zeus" & "Donor Bike" in the same sentence. After looking for a Zeus for 2+ years and finally finding one, I grabbed another smaller Zeus (55cm) just 2 weeks later off of Philly Craigslist. Here she is -

The frame has two spots where the pain has flaked off and rusted a bit. I plan to use the Zeus Seatpost, binder, Crankset, Shifters, Zeus branded pump on my White Zeus. The bike came with a Dura Ace front Derailluer and Shimano Crane rear. Brakes are Super Alfa 71's and Hubs Alfa (Rigida Rims). The Stem reads "Satri" which I am unfamiliar with and the Bars are unbranded?? I will update more pics as it comes together.

I finally found a good source for replicating certain decals, such as the "Reynolds" and small "zeus" thet were on my Zeus. I had it powdercoated and obtained the primary replacement decals from ebay, but could not find a reasonable source for the reynolds decal. Francisco helped me out - based on a photo and some measurements he produced an excellent product for a great price.
